I went there for the first time a few months ago. I thought it seemed like a really nice city compared to most American cities. It was obvious that WAY more money is spent there than most/all other cities. It was night and day better than Philly just up the road.

More shootings than the the 2 wars we where in. There’s 400k waiting to shoot ya up . I had 88 trucks shot up alot of truckers got tired of getting shot at for no reason . So they loaded up 3 to 7 guns. I used 22 ,s with bird shot had to cool them out some how . Had white tape on 1 with real bullets . There’s drivers that shot ovr 2k using bird shot . Truckers had to fight back it worked they stopped shooting at us . Drivers wanted to use m16,s & ar15,s I said 22 bird shot no chance of hurting them . It’s basically makes a real gun noice but not much more than a pellet gun . . Go work on telephone line if you put your wallet on the sidewalk get robbed They’ll put 6 rounds in your back when you runaway . We used organized crime ordered by the city, etc. getting shot at etc doing pipeline projects in the ne cities threw the 90,s.
The residents who live, and works there, don't give a rat's ass about the graphs, and media saying crime is down.
Murder, carjacking, homeless camps, etc... are daily events they deal with.

Jenn got the hell out of there as soon as she graduated Penn state.
Her sister lives in a gated community on the outskirts of town, but drives in everyday to work. And if it weren't for a successful career, she'd be moving south like so many other that we're building homes for around here.
You shouldn't be afraid to go back into town in the evening, for a nice meal at your favorite restaurant, or anything else, in your city, wondering if your car will be there when you come out, or worse.
I won’t argue that this is a bad idea on the surface…
But it is the equivalent of going to the doctors with numerous complaints and then the doctor treats each complaint individually. Prescribed pills for this, shot for inflammation, antibotics for that..
This is just a bandaid. A treatment, not a cure. It does not even approch the root causes of why things are so unbalanced.
