Outdoors Stewart has 16 wins on the big bike and 2 supercross titles.
Carmichael has 76 wins outdoors and what, like 5 supercross titles!!
Stewart would need to duplicate his perfect season for like the next 6 years outdoors to catch up with carmichael on big big outdoor wins, and he needs 3 more supercross titles just to be considered on the same level as RC. How many think he can do this, I don't and give a ZERO percent chance of either RC record I mentioned falling to Stewart.
Also I doubt he will ever be considered the greatest supercross racer considering he has 37 wins and 2 supercross titles. Mcgrath for perspective has 72 supercross wins and 7 titles. I give this a ZERO percent chance of Stewart ever passing either McGrath record to.
Stewart is good but "Come On Man" he ain't that good and if he is that good he ain't tha motivated!!!
Can I get a GOAT!!!! And a SHOWTIME!!!!!

I wonder how much he spent that year though?
Either way, the dude is living the dream!
Only in his own lunchbox and in the eyes of the TV exec's and all his hangers on who blow smoke up his arse.
Stefan Everts made him look far from the FMOTPFMY when he rode around him stood up on the pegs at Matterley Basin MXDN in 2006.
Next time he rode at Donington Park MXoN 2008, Seb Pourcel gave him fits, passing him with ease. he nearly blew it for Team USA when he fell late in the second moto and couldn't restart his bike without assistance!
Pit Row
But to we really have to hash this all out again:
MC is the king of Supercross, 7x champ
RC is the GOAT, 15 championships to prove it
JS has proven that he is fast and talented in both SX and MX, I agree with everyone that it appears that he has taken a substantial break. However, JS has stated many many times that his focus is on SX. We as fans all want to see him race MX because we know his potential is unbelievable; when he is on it, he is incredible. We all want to see the contender whoever it may be (this past year Dungey), prove himself against the best aka James Stewart.
JS's light hearted non-moto TV show makes it seem like he doesn't care about racing; he has always held the persona that he is the best and sarcastically claims he doesn't have to work hard. When he focus's in on something he has proven (post RC) to be unbeatable.
Two years ago SX 09, he came back to win the championship. He showed true grit and determination beating the second best SX rider in the world after spotting him a huge lead. The two of them (JS and CR) showed they were head and shoulders above the rest of the field consistently all season long.
I believe we are going to see that same determined JS come A1. If we don't and the Ryans' or CR or whoever it may be outclasses him, he will still go down as one of the greatest riders in history.
Can't we all just agree that we are ready to see JS as well as the rest of the field line-up at A1 and prove who indeed is the best. Or do all of us keyboard racers have to call names and argue opinions?
I've been in awe of james since he was on 125's. He's raised the level of speed to new heights. Having said that, he has a huge challenge in front of him for 2011.
I also didn't like him quitting at unadilla because he was tired.
2nd moto, well, its harder then you think to come back from a scaphoid injury.
Post a reply to: Stewart...Better indoors or out?
