Matthes tweeted, "grant to Honda...that's the strong rumor"

Seems kinda strange unless he's asking for really low money. But I shouldn't speculate, I have no clue.
It'll be interesting to see how Grant's gang signs, tattoos and M&M attitude fits the corporate world of factory Honda.

I'd never hire Grant.

But what style and talent on a bike - I love watching that guy ride.

A shame. too flakey to ever finish a season strong or gun for a title. too influenced by that California tattoo parlor, melta-head mulisha, culture bullshit.

Exactly !! WTF??.............Short is exactly the type of person they usually hire. Looks good in the public eye. And he is almost ALWAYS running up front , and finishes really , really well in the points! Someone who would get TV air time every single week because of his starts and always battling for the front.

Grant.......even though i kind of dig that kid , and how aggressive he can be on a bike. Along with having one of the best styles in the game......his finishes suck , AND he is like the exact opposite of Short..........the opposite of what team Honda usually looks for.

That deserves a huge WTF?

so if you are team Honda, and Reed, Pourcel, Weimer, Townley, and Grant are still up for grabs, who are you gonna take? my pick would be Pourcel or Weimer- both young and proven winners... Grant appeals to the 909 crowd, and he's crazy fast indoors, maybe that's what Honda is look'n for now days?
Proven winners on 250Fs, sure, but not on 450s

Maybe Honda is tired of the same'ole plan... Who has the potential to go faster Grant or Short? They are betting on 2 wheels.. Grant is faster when he doesn't have an injury.. Grant can run up at the front.. If you are looking to change directions, not a bad choice. Grant is wicked on Honda's, always has been.

Man this place is so hard on riders, the guy is a race winner!

Grant's a great pick up for Honda when you consider another guy they were possibly looking to go with may have signed with someone before they had the change to make their move, and by then Short was already headed out.

Valli needs a second rider. It sounds like Kawi is full. (Three riders?) Who else has seats left to fill, and start playing that chess match.
WTF GuyB???

How you gonna drop some coded as language like that without expansion? Looks like Kawi is full (Three Riders)... what the F does that mean?

RV, Weimer, Pourcel????

He won't win.

By the first few rounds of SX and the Outdoors, Grant will be injured.

What a dumb, dumb, dumb decision to hire Grant vs. keeping Short - or hiring Pourcel or Reed. Someone at Honda should be held accountable for stupid decision like this.

Grant has the arrogance of a champion without the results of one.

Everyone is starting over at A1.

No one know's who's gonna show up.

And what their speed, fitness and determination will be.

And as we've seen points don't mean shit to anyone. It's race wins and titles.

Grant even in his inconsistency can deliver on the race wins.

Lets hope he doesnt injure himself a week before SX starts.

I bet Grant can't wait to get his chance to prove some of you wrong.

Some fans are pretty emotional, but it bolis down to Honda wanting a potential winner and not simply a potential podium. Obviously, the direction they were going with Andrew and Davi didn't produce any titles, so they changed it up....I applaud them for going for it. BTW, the team of Trey and Josh is far stronger then that of Davi and Andrew.

Short will have his fair shake at podiums on KTM - don't cry for him.

Oh, and Honda's image? If you think Josh Grant can change what they've spent over 50 years establishing, you are giving him waaaay too much credit. He will end up being nothing but a benefit to them and vice versa.

Who said honda didnt give short an offer??? He probably went to ktm for more money then honda was paying him.

The goobers in here forget the Josh Grant was one of the few to run down Ryan Dungey outdoors this year.

Grant has new motivation in his life, that being; A new baby depending on him for food, diapers, etc..., and a baby momma. I hope he represents, and kicks a$$ on the badass Honda!
