I'm well pleased for McLellan getting 2nd O/A.

Gifting is such a badass... He deserves a factory spot with Pancar.

As a Finn, it hurts me to see how far ahead our neighbors Sweden and Norway are right now as far as riders go compared to us. Many things are and have been wrong with our system for a while as we cannot produce A or even B tier Gp riders.

Where did Febvre find 17 seconds on Coenen?

Damn, until he wasn't.

What was he, 8-9 seconds out, then down to 6 before the crash? Looked like his rear end dropped to the bottom of a hole and pogo-sticked him over the bars.

The rest of the race should be a good battle for the lead

I'm a big sand guy but even i think this track is insanely rough. This is the kind of track that has your lower back seizing up on the way home from the track. The task of tying your shoe laces the following day will not be an option.

Ahhhh, what a heros effort by Herlings but now he is suffering from the affliction. Down 3 times this race. That upper body is spent.

L.Coenen is impressive.

The results weren’t there, but you have to admit, his fastest laptime the second moto is absolutely ridiculous.

They both deserve a well paid ride. And Pancar is a badass doing everything as a privateer.

But imo they are better of at a supported team then at a factory team. 16-6 isnt a good day at the office when you are at a factory team.

Agreed. But laptimes mean nothing at the end of the race.

First race back after an injury and minimal riding. I’d say he did well. Look at what he was doing before he got hurt, he can clearly still win.

Herlings will never win another GP at Lommel. Lucas just gonna be better and better and De Wolf is coming and I really think he has better skills in the sand than Jeffrey.

He has better skills than him now yes, De Wolfe is a young man, Herlings isn’t. No way Kay would beat a prime Herlings and I would say MX2 Herlings was the best version in the sand.

As a Finn, it hurts me to see how far ahead our neighbors Sweden and Norway are right now as far as riders go compared to us. Many things are and have been wrong with our system for a while as we cannot produce A or even B tier Gp riders.

It´s so much fun to watch Gifting constantly improving! He´s made incredible progress this year, very impressive and I hope he lands good equipment for next season.

Don´t worry, Finland will pick back up, there are always Fins on the gates. The same could not always historically be said about us, unfortunately Tongue

Happy to see Fredriksen back into it. He suffered a series of injuries, and regrouped and came back on his own. Very happy to see it pays off, and that he beat Längefelder in ADAC twice a couple of weeks ago. I hope he can keep the ball rolling. Also: anyone notice Kenneth Gundersen´s son  in 20th in MX2?

An excellent GP,  Febvre's first race fight was immense, the ability of a Frenchman to win in the sand should not be underrated.

Herlings in race 2 was unreal in the opening laps, he will get back to fitness and be a threat again.

Coenen is proving to be a genuine threat , speedwise, as well as mentally and physically .

Fredricksen was the man of the GP for me, hat tip for Ben Watson doing things on the Beta that nobody else could.  Gifting raising the bar for himself at every GP.

KdW riding himself back into it, with 2 perfect GP's on the bounce, Laengenfelder still has some strong races to come though, will go down to the wire.

Sounds like you have the same system as the UK...

I just got back to NL after spending 3 very long days at Lommel both watching and helping a couple racers get through the weekend.

I have been lucky enough to visit a few great MX tracks,  but this one is the hardest track on the planet IMO.

Herlings in the first half of the second moto was just a beast, I am really hoping that he will be on the NL team for the motocross of Nations…

Coenen is the real deal. Febvre is the Euro Tomac. I hope Febvre holds on, but Coenen is smart and uber talented.
