I have been watching Lorettas all week and I have to say what an amazing track. Can pass anywhere. Nothing to crazy. But what the heck. The finish line seems so stupid . I'm not even sure where it actually is. If you actually had a really good race to the finish. What are you supposed to do just pin it into a straight line with yellow flaggers. Idk seems strange

So just because it’s been that way for years you can’t make an observation that it’s dumb? Agree with him that it’s pretty dumb where they finish and how they flag them off the track

I’ve never seen an issue with the finish line, they don’t all have to be big jumps.

A chalk line where the timing wire is would be nice. It’s cool to see how good the coverage is now.

Agreed the current setup actually allows for a drag race for the win

What is atupid to me is that in professional racing the finish line jump isn’t actually the finish. The timing and scoring wire is always further down the jump. Have seen some races in sx where it made a difference.

Seems like it provided a pretty exciting finish a few years ago when Jett and Swoll were separated by a knobby, and Jo was hot on their rear fenders.

I think the quick exit right after the finish is pretty dumb. Then again, they need to get everyone off the track as fast as possible to get all 300 motos in.

Has there ever been an issue or accident with the finish line arrangement?

Someone ran into a quad that was crossing towards the start straight last year after pulling off and heading to the podium area.

seems to me the event has outgrown  that whole place and they should be looking for a new venue.

My local track has a really tight deep rutted S corner before the finish line….Always seem to be able to make an extra pass the last lap as guys always fall right before the finish line..😆

I remember Robbie Neely cartwheeling past Tony D to win the +25 or 30 one year at the finish line.

Personally- I think it's dumb. Doesn't have to be a jump...but if you seriously pin it you may end up in the crowd/fence/flags/utv's.

But IDGAF.

This is a dumb question but did he cartwheel to the moto win? That would be heroic and storybook

most outdoor tracks used to have a rolling finish line. the jumping finish line is a SX thing which is getting old having every track featuring a jumping finish and same dirt.

Lorettas finish has been on the rollers forever and doesnt need to change
