It's been a hell of a ride. Yes, there have been some dry spells, but the dude put us on the map 45 years ago and won this race more than anyone in history. 

That's some Knute Rockne shit right there. 

X2 on Mitch Payton. He's universally respected, has a million connections, and knows how to run a team effort. 

Mitch is by far the obvious answer. No disrespect to Roger, either.  

Big thanks to Roger for all he has done for moto in the United States and Team USA. 

Idk why but I am a vote for a non Team Manager and see if the certain teams not sending their riders because of a rival team manager running the team changes. 

I vote for Dungey. He'd be a great representative and I think the rider bias would be out of it!

I wish he would have waited til after this year. Give him the proper send off with another win.

I think most of us figured this would be his last.  So stepping down just a couple months before is quote a surprise.  

Now, for this year I suspect Pelletier will handle it and they will hire a new team manager for next year.  Like many others, I think Mitch would be good, but my first choice would be Broc Glover.  Give an honorable mention to Johnny O'Mara and Mark Barnett.

But I also think it might be good to go a bit younger with someone like Zach Osborne or Ryan Dungey.

Been a lot of whining about Roger...  That's now a thing of the past.  He was and is a superstar of American motocross history.

Roger's a legend but this needed to happen. 

I can only hope you're joking.  Your girlfriend would be the worst possible team manager.
