It's more of a modern version of the XR200.

This thing is sick, well done dude.

FB Marketplace led me to an old tired set of Sano forks and a Five0 swingarm. I designed and made a fork guards if anyone else needs some for these forks. The originals were torn. I also added UHMW slide rings on fork tube outers so the fork guards don't rub right against the aluminum.

Brought forks back to life, machined my own top clamp. Tore down and powdercoated the swinger. I need to stiffen fork spring badly. Very odd damper assembly approach.

77 XR 75…. The first year for the 5 speed transmission. I bought this bike when I was 17. While I was off racing for the weekend my mom and dad took the bike on a camping trip. They got it dirty and scratched up the plastic, they really liked the bike so they bought a 78 and gave it to me and took this bike. Anyway, I rode the piss outta the 78  and then sold it . My folks kept this 77. So about 3 years ago, my dad gave it back to me. It’s all original except for the plastic, even the tires. So it’s been in our family since 77.

I enjoy 50s and tinkering on them a bit. This has been super cathartic for me. I messed around on 50s a lot in my late teens because I couldn't afford to ride/race full size bikes at the time.

Old Five0 swinger l picked up cheap. Cleaned up and powdercoated.

1000001665 1.jpg?VersionId=LLkhkH

Had to remake fork guards because the ones that came with Sano forks were trashed. Also cleaned up the cable pinch setup and integrated it.

Designed and machined my own top clamp for the Sano fork. I wanted to run my BMX style bar clamp, and in a more forward position than the stock Sano ones. I'm 6'1, a 50 is already small enough...

Clamp as modeled in CAD.

Damper in Sano fork is pretty interesting, broken shim explains a lot. I made my own piston and rebuilt. The fork assembles in a very weird fashion. Thanks to Luke at Pro Circuit for getting me shims.

Bar clamp and stem I ran before I swapped to the Sano forks. I still use this bar clamp.

Bar clamp after I finished cutting it. Chain guide I also made, and etched my number in it because why the fuck not.84f780e2-6603-4183-8767-73112d7f9933-1 all 1452 084f780e2-6603-4183-8767-73112d7f9933-1 all 1927 0

Not sure, I just know they are hilarious and awesome...Also remind me of the Yamaha Fatcat. Back when companies made truly funky offroad machines.

A buddy growing up had a sweet Fatcat as his pitbike. The balloon tires acted as great suspension compared to us on 50s and 110s.

Honda ez90 cubs . Made from 91 to 96 . 2 stroke 90cc fully automatic.  They'll do about 35ish. Incredibly fun even for adults in the woods.

My buddy growing up had two of these and we would ride them around the pits all the time. One day after racing was done, we burned in a little track and he ate absolute SHIT on it. They never came to the races again.

That’s really cool. Are you from the US? I’m asking because the bike looks smaller for an XR75, than what I’ve seen. Like something sold in another country. That pipe is really cool. 😎 what year is that? It looks like a XR75 with an XR80 gas tank.
