Agreed. My favorite rider in the series whether he's on or not. 2022 was a sick year, would love to see him back there.

If I’m not mistaken he has a similar number of wins as Chase in SX.

If I remember correctly he got 7 main event wins against a very on-it Tomac in 2022, as well as an MX overall or two. He seemed to really enjoy that 2022 KX, which does make me a little curious about the new bike.

Fox wasn’t going to pay Kenny what they were paying him on factory Honda if he had went to Yarrive Quad Lock Honda team, which was probably a big reason he went to “factory” Suzuki (HEP). He’s still getting his big money from Fox because he’s a “factory” rider. Ferrandis said Thor didn’t want him anymore because he wasn’t a “factory” rider with Star Yamaha and that’s why he switched to O’Neal when he went to PHX Honda. MotoKiwis right about that stuff.

That's not true about Roczen.

I've heard friends in their 50s say that TRT was life changing in how they felt day to day.

At 63, it might be worth looking into, but I'm not planning on trying it until I'm done racing.

That said, in the 60+ class, I would bet money that plenty of guys are on it.

Ohh I thought that was one of the hang ups with HEP originally, if the money was right with Fox or FLY (at the time) stepping up with more money for him.

At the time, HEP had a team gear deal with Fly and Fly wasn’t willing to match what Fox was paying Ken since I believe Ken was/still is a $1M+ gear deal. It’s why they basically built a second team under HEP so Ken could carry over existing sponsors (Renthal, RedBull, Fox, etc) to help make the deal happen since he liked the bike/team. HEP certainly wasn’t a factory Suzuki team at the time and you could even argue they still aren’t but they have gotten more factory support (money, parts) now that Roczen came on. If you look back at A1 from the year he first signed to the team to where it is now, it’s crazy. Nobody was saying HEP is a factory team when Roczen joined the team but he has certainly helped elevate them now!

I know they’re not a “factory” team just like I don’t think the Star 450 program is a “factory” program. The last of factory Suzuki was in ‘16 with James just like factory Yamaha was in 2020. What I was saying is I think the gear companies look at the HEP team as a “factory” team, like is Ferrandis rode for them he would’ve kept Thor because Thor views them as a “factory” team. I know Kenny had different bar sponsors and things like that, just like Suzuki changed things around for James when he signed with them for outdoors in 2012. I thought if Kenny went to Yarrives Honda team, then Fox can pull the “he’s not on a factory team” and get out of paying Kenny 1+ mil a year, esp because he was on a downtrend that last year on Honda.

I think its happening, heard he declined club mx because he wants to stay on the west coast. Not sure if its a multi year deal, but there will be an all new RMZ in '27. Suzuki wanted to focus on the street bikes for '26, that's why we only saw minor changes on the RMZ for '26.

I heard that the kickstarter machine got stuck on fast and cranked out several years worth of kickstarters . They’re waiting to use them all up before they go with the button.

if you have low t ar 35 your likely in poor health-obese b/c fat makes aromatase which converts Test to estrogen, or overtrained/malnourished which can also lower T production(and lower thyroid production), but very rarely in the lower normal if your healthy and have never used aas - which can cause permanent lowering in some but not all. This is how teams level up though. Star was a bunch of nobodies until JCoop and Jerm started winning and now great people want to be there.

Yes exactly. But HEP was not seen as “factory Suzuki” before Roczen was signed to them. The root of this conversation was because he said Roczen went to HEP because it was a “factory team”

Totally agree. To be a factory you need a rider getting factory bonus structures. Suzuki pays Kenny podium bonus. So yes.

I mean it just goes to show how much weight Roczen has. He has single handedly turned a privateer team that had no results and was written off by other pro riders (I believe it was Savatgy who said I will never ride that bike again no matter how much they pay me) into what the public sees as a factory team.

Anybody wondering if Roczen would want Anderson around?

Star isn’t the factory Yamaha 450 team? Star racing is factory Yamaha at this point and have been for awhile.

Yaa I know, HEP was like a team ECC or Motoworld back in the day. Not getting ahead of myself. Gear companies consider HEP a “factory” team now. I know it’s not a factory team like BarX lol

Star 450 is a full factory team in the traditional sense, with the Yamaha mothership providing money, parts, testing and a battery of other resources.

HEP is a factory supported team, with US Suzuki providing money. You or I could build Roczen's bike.

I would think Roczen would be more important than the bike/team to a gear company as long as he's still competitive.

Didn’t Suzuki look into one of their old parts bins and find a factory transmission this year for Kenny?

Im saying no hrt if you're getting paid as an athlete.

if you have low t ar 35 your likely in poor health-obese b/c fat makes aromatase which converts Test to estrogen, or overtrained/malnourished which can also lower T production(and lower thyroid production), but very rarely in the lower normal if your healthy and have never used aas - which can cause permanent lowering in some but not all. Studied biochem in school and a lifelong athlete. So, yeah. Weird opinion i know.

Plus we're talking professional athletes. I know they all dope a bit anyways but if you allow hrt they can just vary the dose usig short acting injectables and test in normal range at races and dooing control wouldnt be able to detect if they just used test.

What you failed to understand with your half baked medical knowledge is that concussions can have dramatics impacts on testosterone levels as the pituitary gland produces LH and FSH which stimulate testosterone production in the testes. It's completely possible to need testosterone before the age of 35 due to head injuries damaging the pituitary or hypothalamus. It's quite common in military personal and obviously possible in a sport like motocross. Whether hormone replacement should be allowed is another question but disallowing HRT is effectively banning the athlete from competition due to a medical condition.

Still weird after your incorrect explanation. Not sure where you’re getting your knowledge, but you need some new sources.
