Looks like we have the team we've all(at least most of us) been hoping for

ON PAPER this team right here is winning this yrs mxon
Man, I really hope that’s the team. It’s definitely the best team we can send.
Depending on how the Aussie 250 rider performs will decide if we win or not. Australia is a strong contender for many years to come.
With home advantage that USA team will be hard to beat.

I think home field advantage is out the window, as of late the 2 fastest guys out there are not from here.
We'll see how it plays out, you must drop the gate, because the event is not decided on paper. But today, Jett has a slight edge on Chase and I believe Eli has a slight edge on Hunter. Pretty close to a wash there. Even if Hunter edges Eli slightly, will it be enough to overcome the rather large advantage that Deegan has on whoever AUS puts on a 250? Doesn't seem like it. It was close last year with Webb on a 250... Just have to think about that to realize how this year is so different.
Best part, MXoN rarely races like it looks on paper which is what makes it the best race of the year by far.
The Belgians have a stud team too with Coenen, Geerts and Coenen. France always has speed and there will be more that we look at as a threat...
Poor Aussie MX2 rider 😬
Should end up with about 8-10 pts
Belgium is my sleeper pick for podium but lawddd jesus sacha & his crashing might be too much to overcome
Do they still toss a race?
That could be considered except the two guys we are talking about have raced here for the last 6 years. They may be from Australia but they have the same advantage, they have plenty of fans here and know the track. The biggest home field advantage I’ve seen is the French in France.
yea somewhere in tht ball park but this is why I say on paper cause we all kno the weird mechanical’s & crashes tht comes with the mxon
It’s Deegan’s chance to impress this year. We’ve seen what he can do against an inconsistent, somewhat down 250 class in USA.
I mean more about just being in the US with US support rather than any knowledge or track advantage.
That’s pretty much 1-2 or 1-3 for all three motos. I can’t realistically see that happening.
Yes, just need 1 finish out Sacha. But also need Geerts back on form. He started this season around top 20, then top 15 and now top 10, but he's also been really inconsistent. Just don't know what you're going to get.
That’s a pretty good assessment at this stage. Highly likely it will come down to the 250 results, but as you say at MXdN it can be a crap shoot.
Big questions…
How does Deegan stack up against the best Euro 250 guys?
How does he go with an average start against 450’s?
Who will Australia have as their 250 guy and can he pull out one good moto?
Will Hunter have a “good” ride in 6-8th or put in a great ride for a couple of top five finishes?
Can any of the Euro 450 guys get in the mix with Jett/Hunter/Chase/Eli to be a spoiler?
Agree, I think they are leaving out a moto... I can see a 2-2-1-4-6 score for 17ish points. Chase going 2-2 and Tomac going 1-4 and Deegs with a best of 6th. I envision an AUS score of something like 1-1-2-3-12 around 19ish. With TiGa out, I don't think any GP guys will get a top 2.
Damn this is going to be good. Right now, it's hard to imagine any other team within 6-7 points of those 2. But every year someone shines, NED has some amazing MXoN results. Seriously, remember Coldenhoff went 1-1 1-1 in back to back years. Nobody would have bet on that.
Pit Row
Something I just thought of…
Back in 2023 when Chase didn’t go it was cited that the Redbull vs Monster sponsor switch was a major reason.
Now you have both Eli and Chase both (reportedly) switching teams and I assume energy drink sponsor given their respective current and new teams, is that now not an issue?
Yeah I feel that Deegan will be up against a bunch of fast 250 guys that will race him hard; hasn’t happened much in AMA 250 this year.
I have posted multiple times that I expected that to be a problem, but both Eli and Chase have said they are in. I assume the contracts have been sorted to a date that does not conflict with MXoN. That's the only thing that makes sense to me.
We need Webster or Beaton on the 250. Both who are hurt. Hopefully Webster will be in form. But the last two nationals have been far from his normal self.
I don't know what other 250 rider could help against this USA team.
You don’t see Lucas Coenen getting a top 2?
I'm a big fan, but I don't see him beating Jett or Chase at Ironman... But who knows, have to drop the gate to find out.
No pressure 😂
Honestly now that we've won it once, I actually don't care who wins.. All I care about is how faaarken sick it's gonna be to have all those riders on the gate.. (Yes I know it could all change but still)
I have said it before but Heeey Zeus that 3rd moto is gonna rule
Hot damn I love that event
But deegs can run away with his class. That takes the load off of Eli and Chase having to be perfect. The Hunter brothers have had to be really on it because the Aussie 250 guy has been the way weakest link. There are no holes in the US team if this is it.
All I know is that I think this is the best team we can field. Win or lose.
Nobody on a 250 is touching Deegan on an American track. And he might hurt some 450 guys feelings, in my opinion. He's built for big races like this. That boy is a gamer. I'll be there rooting for him
Maybe. He’s clearly the class of the field this year. My only reservation is that, like last year, his competition have been horribly inconsistent.
