Anybody know what's goin on with this dude? One top 10 OA in outdoors & no where near podium potential at any point this season. I know he was run over off the gate at Fox Raceway, are there any other lingering injuries?

Guy could go out and win any race or get 20th, indoors or out. After his salt lake win a couple years ago I thought he was going to start racking them up. Weird for sure

100% could win in SX & SMX hybrid speedway tracks, but I've yet to see much of anything in MX that is a stand out ride of any kind. I think he's got one more year left on his contract.
I don't see many industry insiders touching on the subject other than just accepting his results for what they are, is there something else going on that we do not know about health or injury wise?
Above my paygrade, but I'd sign Mosiman over Thrasher if the timing lines up.
He’s had multiple yard sales this season. He’s never been a great MX guy. Staying healthy is the number one reason these guys don’t succeed. If you can’t stack the building blocks you get passed up. It’s the reason I think Deegan is so dominant, the kid hasn’t missed races in years if at all.
Maybe he goes 1-1 at Unadilla. Would you be surprised?

These teams don't give two fucks about outdoors sadly - which is why Thrasher, who has no results outdoors to speak of, but periodically wins a supercross race, still has a ride.
Yes, he's not going 1-1 at Unadilla unless 6 or 7 other riders don't show up or DNF.
Thrasher has to start up front (holeshot) to do anything. The guy just can't ride through the pack at all. If you look at his race wins he's gotten to the lead very early on in basically all of them.
2021 Atlanta 1 - leads every lap
2021 Atlanta 2 - got into the lead on lap 2
2022 SLC - got into the lead on lap 3
2 triple crown wins - both races he didn't win a moto but got the overall
The only win I can find where he got the lead late was 2024 San Diego where he didn't get the lead until lap 13.
In motocross he's never been impressive. Best result is a 5th with most finishes averaging 10th-15th.
Not sure what anyone is expecting out of him outdoors. Hes never been a threat in mx. He can win regional sx races when hes facing half the field. His showdown results when every 250 rider is on the gate isnt anything special either. He has won one showdown race but other than that its a 5th, a 6th, and lots of results outside the top 10.
Well, if he retires or gets fired from racing, we wont have to hear differ refer to him as "Trasher" ever again.
Expectations are for him to be inside / near the top 10, I think the majority of us expected that after battling with Hunta for the SX title a few years back as JazzyJ mentioned.
IDK what Bobby's expectations of him are, but I'd bet he ain't thrilled with the results.
