Anyone here have the Tech 10 super vented boots?

Curious on how they do in the sand.

I’d love the vented boots but I’m concerned about sand getting in the boot through the vent since I ride a lot of loose/sandy tracks.

I have a set and tbh think it’s stupid. I only got them because of the color way they came it I liked better but mine constantly get plugged up with dirt in the toe vents and if you wash them it’s impossible to not have the inside get soaked unless you just use a damp sponge. I don’t really notice any cooling effect to them compared to my regular tech tens. I was gonna put white silicone in the toe vents to keep the dirt from packing in there but haven’t got around to it.

I second this. I got mine brand new for $340 otherwise wouldn't have worried about the vent gimmick. They plug up instantly. The inner materials do seem like better vented stuff than standard version but the toe vent is pointless imo.

Toe vent is absolutely pointless

The toe vents get clogged, sure, but worse is that all of the water getting inside every time you try to wash them makes the insides break down faster.

We also got these on sale. I’m convinced the price is based on lifespan vs. a regular Tech 10.

Honestly, I love them. I've only used them a handful of times in the sand, but it wasn't bad at all. I had the same amount of sand in my super vented as I did my sg12's.

With that said, the ventilation was super noticeable and cools you off a lot, or atleast this has been my experience over the last year, or so.

As far as washing, I haven't had any issues. Pressure wash them, then throw them on a cheap-o boot dryer I got off Amazon. Pull email off in the morning and go.

100% agree with you on this. They're great and definitely not a gimmick, i don't understand how someone with both versions can't notice the clear difference in how much less hot they get compared to the non-vented versions.

And naturally, the boots will get more wet inside if you ride in we conditions because of the overall extra ventilation.

I have both kinds and you can absolutely feel the airflow in the vented versions. I’ve not noticed any dirt getting in mine but I’ve only done a few off road races so far in them. Main thing is your feel will get wet if there’s puddles etc but honestly when it’s really hot I kinda like that aspect haha. Not sure I’d have these as my only boots though if you ride in an area that gets cold or is often wet conditions but they are honestly better than I expected at keeping my feet cool.

My son has them and has only complained when there is water on the track.

Okay, this is very real. If it's going to, or is raining, where a different set of boots. They will vent all the rain in!

They do seem to soak up water worse than the standard version. Boot dryer is about the only thing you can do to combat that. I like the bootie in the supervented version a lot more though.

Yeah not gonna lie this definitely didn’t make the decision clear like I thought it would 😂

I don’t particularly think about my feet being hot when I’m riding, I always take the boots off in between sessions.

I hate having wet feet so i think this kind of makes the decision lean towards non vented.

They should honestly make some type of 3D printed vent covers with a small little gasket or something so you aren’t forced to choose between wet and dry feet.

A Stars let’s get this going.

Kudos to you if you can feel a difference. I absolutely cannot. Also, not sure where you ride but I'm Midwest with lots of clay and they clog up first lap with our deeply prepped and watered tracks. Maybe if you were riding a really high speed dry track ? My feet sweat so bad I'd never notice water being pulled into them.

A friend took this picture after our GP race last weekend (prepped exactly like our moto tracks).
