KTM 300 XC-W Price Check - Continue to Wait or Purchase Now?

I am considering picking up another bike for woods riding. 2025 KTM 300 XC-W Champion Edition - OTD price is $12,400 ($11,500 before sales tax). I don't feel like this is a great deal, but it's the best price I can find currently. Just looking for opinions or a crystal ball.

Would you continue to wait for incentives to improve or pull the trigger now?

I am in the same boat as you are. I'm wanting to pick up a 25 FX 350, but I'm trying to hold off until June to see they issue some rebates.

The KTM deals have gotten worse than if I would have just purchased back in late 2024. I decided to wait it out earlier this spring to see if incentives improved in May, but nothing has really changed. That's the big question whether it will get better in June or remain the same.

Even if they do come out with incentives, they may not apply to that bike because I think those sell pretty easily.

Lots of us older dudes with money that are willing to pay for the bling 🤣

The KTM rebates usually don't apply to the special edition bikes such as Factory Editions and Erzbergs. I doubt you will get it any cheaper unless the dealer just wants to move it, reducing their margin.

I dont see fire sale rebates coming. Dealers already paid for their inventory. Only rebates will be from the manufacturer and why would they go any more than they have. There is still a market and they are selling. All the bs prices people were claiming last year were not actual otd pricing. Bikes were being advertised for $8k, plus fees!!! Still over $10K by the time your done

Based on my recent buying experience, I’d say that’s fair market right now, if not slightly under. I’d jump on it if you want it. Like woodsryder said, even if they do issue incentives in the upcoming months, they almost never apply to factory editions. I was quoted $13,700 OTD for a leftover 350 FE. Then every 2025 350 within a 150 miles radius was around $11,500+ OTD w/o tax.

If a fire sale does happen, I feel like we won’t see it until year end. By then, some vet guy will probably have scooped up this bike since they are pretty desirable.

I’ve overpaid for bikes, and I’ve underpaid for bikes… but I can’t say that I’ve ever regretted buying a bike haha! Looking forward to your “Spoke with my wallet” thread 😂

Inventory will be in very short supply as they have cut back massively on the 26's.  If you really want the bike I'd just get it.  They cut back to far less models too and special stuff like Hard Enduro or Champions might not even be made.

Dunno , seems the deals were more prevalent last summer and early fall.  At that time, a buddy and I both picked up 500EXC-Fs for 10.9K out that door.  Was given the price by just calling the dealer...no haggling at all.   I've not seen that kind of pricing lately.  No help from me ... just hard to tell what might lie ahead.

Maybe hold off until 5/24 when more will be revealed on KTMs restructuring?

exactly, last summer the 500 excf had a $2k rebate. Now it is $1K. I got  this deal a couple moths ago. So he got his for only a grand less than me. IDK, not worth waiting and hoping for only $1k in my opinion. Fist off, who knows and second, good chance inventory is low or gone. If your in the market I would get one now.

Buddy is a higher up guy at ktm and he said prices are going up and there won’t be hardly any 26’s so wont be doing deals on 25’s. Buy the bike.

I don’t know anyone at ktm but based on the fact they only built bikes for about 6 total weeks since November, I agree there won’t be many bikes available or rebates.

Best bike I have ever had!

The company is broke.  They don’t have the money to invest in additional rebates at the moment (especially on their most popular models).  If you want it (and have the money for it) buy it and put a smile on your face this weekend.
