Bring back laguna and maybe indy to the schedule
Ugh… I really enjoy MotoGP as it is.
Well we know for sure they're going to race in the U.S. every year now. And quite possibly building a motocross track on the Austin, TX road course property. This would be great. Can't wait to see the changes coming to MotoGP and especially the expansion to increase the US market. Please bring a race to Texas. Hopefully more than one series race here.
Davy and the AMA basically neglect all the southern and southeastern fans every year.
MotoGP already races in Texas every year

Didn't this happen last year?
I think they just got final regulatory approval to go ahead with the sale that was announced last year
This ☝️
I think you are confusing MotoGP and MXGP.
MotoGP has a race in TX each year at COTA, and used to also have Laguna (until 2014 and Indy (until 2015).
I would expect for Liberty to lobby for another North American round, but there's a lack of truly suitable facilities.
Laguna is toast for a host of reasons.
Indy was a pretty meh circuit, although both were iconic.
We really need another truly world class road course in the US besides COTA.
Maybe this will get a new MotoGP spec track built in the US? Flatrock has plans for another track, supposedly FIM Grade A. Not sure if the second track has started yet.
There’s a new track between phx and Tucson called Atessa that meets FIA/FIM safety standards. They talked about the goal of hosting MotoGP or F1 in the future. They still have to build the infrastructure but the track is done and being used for track days.
? Road America ?
Doesnt meet the highest FIA standards. It would take a lot of work for the track to get up to the f1/MotoGP standards but I think the other non-fixable issue is the location. It’s relatively far from a major airport.
Any two wheel enthusiasts out at Thermal? Those guys don't mind splashing cash around and would probably love to have MotoGP at "their" place
Maybe it's a good acquisition? I don't see any negatives?
Maybe they will market MotoGP in F1 somehow..
An issue I can potentially see happening is cost to us as fans.
Motogp is more of a working man’s sport in comparison to the F1 of today. And trying to go to an F1 race is nearly impossible from a cost perspective for a majority of fans. Now everything has gotten more expensive, sure but a good test of the market was at silverstone this year. Worst attendance in years. Weather wasn’t ideal but still that’s a large market to be declining in attendance. Most fans when asked said the rise in cost was their ultimate decision to not attending. I just don’t want to see Liberty kill the spectating side of the sport.
Also I do understand that drive to survive increased popularity in F1 which in turn increased prices.
But people who raced their aren't really enthusiast about the track, I let the Vitards make up their own mind.
The whole neglecting the southeast is unbelievable. DC says it's too hot. I think preseason NFL games are played in August in the Southeast, Pro baseball is played there then , WDW and Universal do not close June through September, it's a bullshit excuse.
Looks like the deal finally got approved!! Liberty did good work after acquiring F1, and definitely improved their product in the USA, down side is it now costs 10 times more to go to an F1 race.
Liberty and MotoGP are also bringing Harley Davidson in to the fold to run a support series, and rumors that BMW will be joining the paddock as well.
As far as tracks go the only other track that meets the safety standard and the paddock requirements besides COTA is Indy. Its not just the track that needs to meet certain safety standard, these days a track needs a billion dollar paddock facility, and it is hard to justify that cost if you are not getting additional events at the facility.
