Does anyone know if they are in business anymore?.

The 4th of June i ordered some parts from them and payed with PayPal. I got a PayPal receipt but no order confirmation from the webshop.

Fast forward to now I have still not received a order confirmation or a email that the parts are shipped. I have emailed them and asked for it but no response.

Just wonder if I should contact PayPal because XR’s only operate in the same way as Terry Varner or if I should give them any more time?.

The reason I bought from them is that they had white xr650r rear fenders that I can’t get a hold of in Europe because UFO seems to have stopped making them.

I don't know but the real story here is you're from Europe and you called it a fender instead of a mud guard.

That's because it's called a fender.

😄

More seriously, I thought XRs only was gone a long time ago, just like Baker and XRs... Good to know they're still around.

After some time on google it seems that they are around but nothing more. Plenty of unhappy customers that have been screwed so I guess I’ll have to start a PayPal case.

I ordered an OEM cable from them 4-5 months ago. Zero communication. One day, the cable arrived. I was shocked.

No, im building it as a rally bike with a CRF fork/clamps and the 24L Acerbis tank with the perfect fairings rally kit same kit as on this one.

Other than that it’s the usual hop-ups with a FCR carb, xr650/cr500 hybrid shock, slip on silencer etc.

I have never ordered from them, but I have heard that they are VERY slow to get orders out.

I cannot recall exactly, seems like around 6 weeks.
Pretty much what I’ve experienced prior thereto, but I have never been stiffed by them.

Awesome but how the hell did he get the pilots voice to sound like that?

at one point I worked for Trbbles appliance parts in MD/DC/VA and one of the repairmen took me and another coworker Joe up in his plane. We flew over to the eastern shore for lunch. On the way back the pilot asked have you ever felt a negative G force? Joe screames yes and grabbed the arm rests ....... he did a stall and I was just laughing my ass off.

Back in the day they were ready good to deal with. I bought a lot of parts from them when I built this 98 XR 400.IMG 0206 1.jpeg?VersionId=a6RjDiiTWzUancCqFu3iFsUQPEhIMG 0204 3.jpeg?VersionId=lPYifz5Y4K038E9GqA3lQ

Both my brother and I have bought parts from them in the last few years.  When his part was taking a long time to arrive, he got a hold of someone on the phone and they told him that they don't necessarily ship every day, but rather in batches.  Those batches could be a week apart.  I get the the feeling they are very limited in manpower.  I also ordered something for a 650R that I could only find from them.  It was a case saver that mounts over the countershaft sprocket and includes a 3rd (frame) mounting point rather than the usual two only on the case.  I emailed them to find out where my part was as it was as they never provided tracking and it was taking a long time.  They never replied to my email, but the part arrived the next day.  I was happy for the part, but for a place that is within 2 1/2 hours from my house, I did not anticipate that it would take over a week to get it.  They used to be a great company, but I think those days went away when Al Baker did.  I would personally avoid them if at all possible unless they are the only source for your part.

They are definitely a challenge to deal with but with some of the stuff, you don’t have much for options.

Yeah this was definitely the first and last time I ordered from them.

If you have that shitty shipping dates as a company you should at least write that on the homepage so the customers know what to accept.

Thanks, I bought my XR brand new in 98 and I still have it. It still looks the way it does in the pictures.

You bet! Emig clamps. Bought the bike from a guy that used it to bear hunt, was all stock besides custom pegs- he welded some all thread to rig up some buddy pegs…

Got a notice from my Swedish postal tracking app this morning that a package from XR’s only is booked so I hope that the parts will be on their way soon.

I have had to much problems before with things like this so my tolerance level is not that high anymore.

Any way I will update when the parts arrive not to throw them under the bus completely
