Wouldn't be surprised if they're around a similar weight. Jeffrey is around 2 inches taller and a lil wider and Sexton a bit bulkier.
Yeah, I spoke too soon. Stats say they're relatively similar in stature. Jeffrey has Eli by a couple inches and about 5lbs. I pictured Jeffrey being like 15lbs more than Eli
If Eli on a pumpkin means we get another season or two with ET, I’m all for it! I imagine there will be some strict “must haves” prior to signing, I just hope they’re honoured!

Sorry if it's been mentioned before but isn't ET the only Star dude not training on the farm?
How hard is it to make the ktm a cable clutch?
Is there a mod to make this happen?
KYB inserts would be the go again too.
I’m sure KTM will be able to find someone who’s handy on the mill….
They did it back in the early 2000s.
That would be correct. Believe everyone else is training under Swanny.
I’m just thrilled Eli wants to keep racing. I was so sure he was retiring after that Achilles injury or would have lost a step, but neither was true. Wherever he goes it’s going a bonus on my career expectations of him.
I can't believe he's even willing to ride their bike. Next year will be the first time since he went pro that I won't be rooting for him.
So you support the corporations and not the riders? I don’t care what bike they ride, I like Tomac, CS, KR, AP…
Do you say “Go Yamaha” when you watch races?
No...I just refuse to support unscrupulous companies or individuals. Not paying your bills and screwing creditors and suppliers out of 70% of what they were owed meets that standard. It appears there's quite a large gap between what we each think is morally right or wrong.
I sure hope you drive a Ford or a Tesla....
Has anyone heard how Nrosso391 is handling the news?
You do realize this was negotiated by the creditors themselves right? You talk like KTM intentionally screwed themselves and their partners over on purpose. There’s no denying they screwed up. As many companies have in history. Unscrupulous is a bit dramatic for this situation.
Realizing his righteous cause isn't so righteous.....
Nope, they both produce crappy vehicles. Both are statistical leaders when it comes to recalls.
Pit Row
Let me tell you why I asked....those are the only two American car companies who have NOT filed bankruptcy, all the others have and by doing so were relieved of having to pay their suppliers and debt the total amounts....so if you are driving another American brand besides a Ford or a Tesla you are driving a vehicle from a company that has done exactly what KTM has done....
Because it’s Eli’s fault there’s no other option out there for him…
It was 30% or nothing. And most fought even that until the very end. Do you blame them for wanting the 30% after being BF'd out of the other 70%? I do not, And...it's not like a natural disaster caused KTM's FU situation, it was solely their fault. Poor business decisions got them in the mess they were/are in. Why should innocent actors that did their part and provided the parts for the bikes, lose their hard earned money to bail out the F ups that created the mess? And others must agree because their stock is once again tanking. On the unscrupulous being dramatic, screwing the people you owe out of millions is a 1000 x more unscrupulous than a common criminal mugging someone on the street for their pocket chance, which I have no doubt you would classify as unscrupulous behavior
Don't act like he doesn't have options. He could have ridden for Ducati and I guarantee others, if he chose to do so. Also, he can afford a few bikes and a rig. Though we all know, if he chose to go that route, he'd get free bikes and parts from which ever brand he chose to ride. Multi-millionaire, top tier talent always has options.
GM's bankruptcy was due to the housing/bank crisis and the economy tanking. KTM's bankruptcy was caused by their own bad business decisions. Yes, both similarly went through bankruptcy but on one caused the financial problems they faced, one didn't. Apples to oranges my man.
Keep up your rage....I can guarantee that you have been and are a consumer of products from a company that has had to utilize protection from the bankruptcy courts at some point in their history....
He could ride a Bultaco and I couldn't care less. I'm just stoked we'll be able to watch one of the baddest mo fo's ever to sling a leg over a bike ride again for another season and hopefully more. Watching guys like Tomac and Deegan hammer down every weekend is the biggest reason why I like to watch the races. I can appreciate the art of how Kenny and Jet ride, but I want to see someone twist it and spray rocks around every turn!
I don't know man... GM was pushed toward it after years of losses and market share drops (sounds familiar). Even the $19.4 billion in federal aid was not enough to keep the automaker out of bankruptcy court.....regardless of the cause how it affected suppliers was the same they didn't get paid ....do a little research on how the GM bankruptcy affected their suppliers at the time....how it almost single handedly destroyed the tool and die business in the midwest....many of those companies are just now making a comeback because of another US automaker that has invested in their business....that US automaker is Tesla...
I get the “KTM hosed their suppliers” thing, and I probably won’t buy another KTM. But on race day, I’m not thinking politics, I’m just enjoying the races!
If Eli ends up on Orange (or red, or white..) I’ll still be a huge fan of him. And I hope the checks clear..
I just hope the bike works well for Eli. They seem to have the KTM very refined and doing well with a number of riders. No lack of variety of forks for Eli to find a set that are good for him.
Ya there is nothing moral about money…only people that can be bought believe there is.
