Jett's interaction and opinion of other riders

I find it a bit intriguing  how Jett reacts to and talks about other riders. Take Eli for example. It seems like Jett has nothing but the utmost respect for Eli and feels stoked to race with him. Jett has also made similar comments about Coop. For instance, when Jett first went out with the ACL, during an interview he was asked who he thinks will win the title. Without hesitation, Jett said Coop, even though Chase had the points lead at the time. Jett has likely raced head to head vs Chase the most, and yet he puts out the impression that he literally has zero respect for Chase. Not in a personal way, but as far as giving due respect as a challenger. Not sure if that's because they were teammates and Jett knows he has Chase's number or what, but its kind of telling that Jett really never talks about Chase in the same tone as he does with some of his other competitors.

I mean Webb was the only guy close to Jett in SX 2024, probably his toughest enemy in a championship yet. That's prolly why he said Webb without thinking about it. But tbh, no reason to overanalyze 😅

Jett picks his words very carefully and doesn't talk any smack about anyone which I respect. Not sure if it's from inside or PR advice.

Jeezus, really this is Kooksey level crap making something out of nothing, he was asked who he thinks will win a title, gave his answer apparently was the wrong answer so now he has no respect for Chase? Even though his answer was correct.

Jett has a Mom and Dad who raised him, along with his brothers, to be polite upstanding men.  The proof of their hard work is right before our eyes......  Very respectful young men.

Have you ever heard Jett speak about Chase in the same way he speaks when asked about Eli?

.....me neither

Bad take.

I find Jett seems to have respect for all the championship caliber riders and shows that when talking about them and racing them…including Chase. It is really cool to see and listen to.

Maybe it's PR training or maybe it's just who he is, we'll never know for sure. I like to think he's still a kid who's growing up but still having a lot of fun racing, even though the pressure is incredibly high. I'm still not ready for him to take over the entire sport, but it's hard not to like him.

Anyone notice after the second moto when he went and grabbed the camera and pointed it over to Tomac and his kids under the tent?

I think he sees Tomac and Webb more as his heroes and Chase as more of a peer, maybe that's why he has seemed to talk about them differently.

This could be the case. Coop and Eli are definitely a 1/2 generation in front of Jett.

On pulp one of the callers asked AP who has the best personality out of the other riders and he said definitely jett. If AP is saying you have a good personality behind the scenes thats a huge compliment, especially coming from mr personality himself.

Jett talked about Chase recently after Pala. Jett said Chase will be on his ass the whole race pressuring him. He said Eli does it in spurts. He's also talked highly of Chase in the past.

With Eli and Coop, they've been racing at a high level for years and Jett has witnessed them doing a lot of great things. I believe he just wants to give them their flowers and genuinely stoked to be racing them

"Have you seen this guys legs?" - Jett talking to the press about Tomac's man strength after SD I think?

We have been able to see some of his personality come out in the this is lawrence videos, and that helped me slowly become a fan of him. Just wish we could see more of his personality.

Have said it before the young man seems pretty down to earth. He has won every 450 national but one in his career. And I don't think I have ever heard him talk crap.

He kills them with kindness. When he raced Chase for the outdoors title he did nothing but praise him to.

Regarding Webb vs Chase for the title; Webb spent a fair amount of time training with them and i think that Jett see him as a friend. And Coop never tried to talk smack about Jett during the 24 SX.

Im sure that he pick his words carefully now days since every little thing comes back at him full swing if people dont like it, but i get the feeling that if you treat him with respect you will get it back.

Jett is a fan of the sport ans a fan of the riders he admired growing up, and that would be Webb and Tomac.

Chase is younger and despite his speed there's something missing with him at this take to be a true legend of the sport.

When it comes with Chase vs Webb for example Webb despite being slower he gets the absolute most out of his self and has overperformed his whole career despite his short comings, at this stage Chase does not.

"Webb despite being slower he gets the absolute most out of his self and has overperformed his whole career"

Imagine going back to 2013 and telling people that Webb would be a 3X SX champ, and AC would only have one title when he retired? You'd have been laughed off of this board.

On topic: Jett lost me with his attitude in 2024, but now that he's gone back to being goofy Jett, I'm 100% a fan again.

“Tbh, no reason to overanalyze..”

I like that.

This comment would fit nicely in the “what if RC never existed” thread..👍🏻

Racing media, from every type of motorsports, portrays racers as being adversarial, borderline enemies of their fellow competitors.

And that's the case with certain people.

It's not the case as a whole.

It's traveling group of people who spend the majority of the year together, on and off the track.

Glad we have the top racer in our sport showing respect for his fellow competitors.

(The camera pivot was a class move)
