If we are just talking MX/SX I’d say

1, Everts

2, Pastranna/Stewart

3, MC

Too early to put Jett in the mix. If it is riders in general you need to add in Billy Bolt, Axel Hodges etc.

In my lifetime of Mx experience and really very lack of knowledge prior to 93 and of mxgp. I’ll go with

MC

Js7

Herlings

Jett is next but we only get 3. So that’s my 3. Going off talent alone I feel like Windham should be there also but we only got 3 lol

Riders like Rc and Tomac should be in a separate category. Their ability to raise their level to their competition then push that bar further than anyone was willing to go was more based on their heart rather than talent. With that in mind I go in no particular order. MC for just mastering supercross so beautifully. He brought finesse to the sport. Rob herring could turn up and beat anyone in the world on his day. I think we have all seen a stew video or race that left us wondering how he did it.

Tomac is by far the most underrated of all time. Look at the numbers.

His win percentage is nowhere near the greats. He just has longevity.

Before I get roasted. Yes he is somewhere in he list. But 100% not top 3

Right. He's just passing the Ryan's numbers when they retired at 27. And they still have more titles

Sorry sir, you are incorrect.

Yeah it was 97.  I went to a lot of races back then & the riders are injured soo much . I had his injuries mixed up.

How could anyone down vote that

I got downvoted for listing James Stewart, Roger DeCoster, and Stefan Everts, arguably some of the most talented racers ever.

I wouldn't worry about it.

David Bailey and JMB, plus Jason Lawrence. And the only thing Jason ever said to me was, “Well, You did it”, he was a real asshole, but talented as hell.

Take your pic... Most underrated I've ever seen is Christophe Pourcel

Sheesh... 3 are hard to choose because my participation / following the sport is from the late 70s / early 80s to present. Plus, define most talented...

In no particular order:

Roger Decoster

Marty Tripes

Bob Hannah

Joël Robert

Mickey Dymond

Ron Lechien

Jean Michel-Bayle

Christophe Pourcel

Travis Pastrana

James Stewart

Josh Hansen

Jeremy McGrath

Stefan Everts

Jeffrey Herlings

Jett Lawrence

Antonio Cairoli

I know this sounds like a cop-out but it's so hard to choose because each brings something unique to the table.
