Great ride for Guillod

Can't believe how off the pace Prado is tbh, 45 seconds behind Lawrence... Not looking promising

Eli has been chipping away at Hunter….made up almost 2 seconds in about 2 laps…

Paturel and Guillod riding the same lap times as Prado. He looks super uncomfortable

This is a really shitty moto from Prado.

He's on a new bike, new team, new country, new series and race format, and coming back from injury.

Add to that, Pala is a weird track.

A lot to learn in a short amount of time. Year two will be more telling.

Yeah i agree, i think most people have way too high expectations.

I still think Prado should be able to ride better than this considering the circumstances, and i would bet money on that he himself would agree with that.

This track does not look fun right now. Must be so difficult to find a flow with all these hooked ruts

The track is getting gloriously rough.  I love the summer.

That's all valid but Guillod is faster than him right now. He's on a stock Yamaha with zero prep in the US and just comes back from a broken collarbone. But Prado has been known to take it easy when he doesn't feel it. Hopefully Moto 2 is better

Prado also switched to an aluminum frame for the first time in his career.

The broadcast so far has been a million times better than the crap we were served throughout the supercross season

His interview before the races started he looked honest with himself about having to learn and getting comfortable.

The prepackaged interview he said he wants to win, and that's to be expected from any champion, but he also hadn't ridden practice.

He'll get better.

True. He did put in a couple better laps there late. Moto 2 should be better 7-4 or something wouldn't be that bad to start the season

Tomac had a lot of time in that race to get hunter and didn't. Kinda surprised.

James is a natural in the booth. He can call the moves the riders are setting up during the race so well

Jett was the only guy to go under 2:20 and more than once.

2:19.185 is the fastest lap.

JCoop was close with a 2:20.033

Jett is king around these tracks, can't see anyone being a threat this year again unfortunately

Anyone else feel like that 450 moto took a little wind out of the sails?  Just a little?

Jett holeshots & runs away with it. 12 seconds ahead of 2nd.

Sexton already 25 points down, 2nd moto likely won't be very good after that tough wreck & eyes have to be pretty fked up.

Tomac - 4th, looked good, not great. 16 seconds off first.

Webb - DNF

Prado - 7th not bad all things considered but damn, 57 seconds behind first.

J Coop probably the biggest surprise coming in 2nd.

Wild. The Nationals are that much of a culture shock from MXGP?!

I really struggle to imagine this happening to 24yo cairoli, herlings, gajser etc..

There's adapting and there's getting 40 seconds put on your head by 4 riders, none of whom have rode 'exceptionally'. Jett is Jett but this is an ordinary Jett ride not some 15 hangtown Tomac shit
