I finally tracked down Mike Lewis ( legendary, yet very quiet, Ohio moto photo dude) and I bought out his archives. That’s right, everything. Thousands of photo prints. Perhaps hundreds of thousands of photo prints. Many boxes. Anyhow, I’m still trying to determine how to distribute and disseminate these historical artifacts of our filthy sport. I’ll keep ya posted, perhaps have a gander at my Instagram. *

Your advice, I might heed.
I think everyone in this area had a F and S Suzuki at one point.
I had one in ‘98
Hey Rup,
A few years ago I gave my meager collection to DC as at the time he was having his son Vance scan a bunch of things into digital for some type of archive.
Perhaps consider pinging DC and see if he has interest in the 'pro' part of your new collection?

Hey Rupe, very cool that you worked out something with Mike...seems he was shooting pics at just about every race I went to after I moved to Ohio. I had the mindset that with Mike being so dedicated to the sport that I'd try to buy whatever pics he had taken that were of me or a buddy. This was all prior to the internet so Mike was working with hard photos rather than folks buying from him based on images on a site. I've had the nbr 558 forever if you happen to spot that # amongst the pics of the fast guys
Purchased a lot of photos from Mike. Was always fun to go through his photo albums and find a pic of yourself. #22 just sayin
Man I wish I would have kept my 2003 F&S RM125. Had a 144 cyl on it built by Eric Gorr. VF2 reeds, FMF rev pipe & shorty. Bike was a blast!
Love the pics, Rup! Raced Troy and a little night track called New Moon (I think it was an old drive-in theater at one time) a bunch when stationed in Dayton from '94-2000! Good times!
I raced that drive-in toooooo !

Thanks Rup, went to the Troy National 3 times = good times! Oh, and since no permanent numbers back then, can you post the rider's names under the photos?
WOW!! You’re the man Rup. . Please keep posting.
Had no idea Mike had an injury, he was a super super nice guy. Gave so much back to so many people before the iphone days. I forget, but I think it was like two dollars a photo but when you paged through his books and he had some of your photos, you would’ve gave him $10 each at the time.

Wow, these are some great photos from the late '80s and early '90s at Kenworthy's, and I believe COCR. I loved racing on both of those tracks. COCR used to get some big-name rider draws with big payouts during their pro races. Riders like Mike Larocco, the Beckington and Bowen brothers, Fred Andrews, Mike Jones, and many others would all show up to do battle. They were like mini nationals and helped make us all faster riders. Thanks for the memories, Rup!

45 is Bradshaw, I think 312 is Chuck “Farmboy” Reed ?
Is #5 Todd Gilbert ?
I think (?) that in one pic it might be Jeromy Buehl (?) and another #5 might be Mike LaRocco (?)
Great pics RupDawg!!
Thanks for sharing!
Sorry for the repetition. Loading pics (still!) is an aggravating source of mega frustration. Grrr.
Oooh, help me ID some of these tracks.
1. State Fairgrounds Coliseum. Indoor MX (not Arenacross)
2. Don't know, help. Was Briarcliff open that long ago?
3. Honda Hills?
4. Don't know, looks pretty big.
5. COCR probably
6. Can't tell
7. Don't know
8. Larry Maiers with ? help
9. Kenworthy's
10. COCR
11. Same Larry Maiers interview
12. County fair race somewhere? Pickaway? Probably not.
Get a flat bed scanner and scan them. I did that to a bunch of old pictures from our fire department.
I had an 01 RM 125 from them. They had GREAT deals on low hour bikes!
I have that Bayle jersey from Kenworthy’s hanging in my closet!
