I hope not:
That's unfortunate and sorry to hear. Usually the 2.5L's themselves are pretty reliable, seems kind of weird but these things happen. Keep us posted on what went kaboom?
Man that stinks to hear about your Maverick. Took our daughter to the park after she watched dadda ride his dirt bike for a bit. Don’t mind the double parking, there was nobody at the park

Have u guys heard of the slate truck? Its a bare bones ev truck theyre going to try to sell for $20,000. It has no radio, roll up windows, and comes with the pieces to convert it to an suv, jeep style open top with roll cage… etc. should be crazy reliable and with the ev no oil changes or engine probs. Only 1 moving part for the whole motor. Sounds like a pretty cool concept imo. The body panels are all plastic and theres no paint and every panel can be removed with a screwsriver if you ding one of em. Its def interesting.

Yeah someone posted it on Page 19. It's a cool concept, we'll see if it actually gets to market.
Also, if the $7500 EV Credit is axed, I think they are in trouble. The Maverick will be a way better value, it already is.
I wanted a smaller truck but in the end you get to the age where you realize you can’t take the money with you so what the hell … 2025 Tundra 1794 with trd off-road package it is, it’s so nice i didn’t want to go to the track to get it dusty 🤷♂️😂
I know a full size truck is better for going riding but I just can’t stand driving that big of a truck on the daily.
I feel like my Ranger hits such a sweet spot. I wish the bed was 1/2foot longer but certainly can make do without.
It’ll be interesting how much I’ll like/dislike it during our Colorado trip. I’m happy with the 2.3 as I’d like to stay above 20mpg for everyday stuff.
Theres a bunch of mini trucks down here in Mexico.
Some examples: VW Saveiro, Chevy Tornado, Ram 7000, etc.. maybe you can import one to the states before tariffs explode
It wasn’t the original plan to get another tundra, i was going to keep my 2014 tundra with 160000 miles on it. It was getting to the point i was going to have to do A LOT of preventative maintenance and i made the mistake of going to the dealer and they gave a great deal on the trade and off the truck where other stealerships were doing the 25-5000 over MSRP nonsense… then they offered 2.99 financing … i was like well shit just do it! I did look at the Rangers and Canyons and was going to go that route … but oh well!
I've been looking pretty hard at them myself. Do wish there was a Supercab option with like a 6' box, though. I have no friends and do haul stuff so most of the smaller trucks have become kind of impractical. An Explorer or something and a small enclosed trailer might be a better option if I cared much about passenger room.
Can’t keep a trailer r st the house and its just another thing to maintain at a certain point. It was nice in only old Ranger to be able to load up in the garage but then I didn’t have room for the fam.
I get the trailer thing but I’ve got a smaller open trailer I need to offload anyway. I hate using it.
Just spent a week in Mexico last week. So many different little trucks there, I was jealous
The slate is cool if it was $12,000.
For some reason that Slate truck gives me a similar feel to a failed kickstarter project... Hopefully I'm wrong and they are successful.

I would buy a truck like that for short trips to the hardware store, etc. from an established brand or one that has a couple of years of production under their belt. Originally I bought my 1992 Toyota Pickup with the intent of doing an EV swap. It has 154,000 original miles, ice cold A/C and it's too nice to hack up for a project. If I come across a straight body with a dead engine I'll grab it and install a Tesla or Nissan EV motor.
I started getting upset when you mentioned conversion but I’m okay now. If you start feeling that way again, call me first. We can’t let that jewel meet a fate like that!! 😂
I’ll throw in a project vehicle to boot.
Likewise. Except a month ago. Not sure how many times I said to myself, why can't we get those back home? Same with some 2 wheelers I saw.
Life is short man, sounds like you made the right call. When you’re 90 some years old on your death bed you’ll be stoked you got to drive that 1794 edition brand new tundra 😎
Pit Row
I’ve been really happy with my Hyundai Santa Cruz. Bed is small but works great for one bike.

My 2004 Tacoma at the Nevada County Woods Riders dual sport ride this past weekend. Just like "the good old days" (40 years ago), going riding and sleeping in the back of the little truck.
$20k apparently.
Interesting concept though.
I had a single cab of one of those.... Bought it just to have a truck as I didn't have one. Ended up driving it all the time. Finally blew a head gasket.... and I said time for a new one. Fixed it first. Sold it - after I repainted it with PPG/Base/Clear for $1800. 2016 is when I sold it.
The thing is.. newer stuff is more comfy.... AC/ CD std even on the low end truck. I had a good time with it. But... don't miss it. )
Exact same color... I think it was called Cobalt Blue. That thing was purple! LOL I had this nephew say "why don't you have a painting of the virgin Marry done on the hood".
Finally pulled the trigger. Got 65mpg through town if I was extra light on the throttle yesterday
I am flirting with the idea of one of these. I'm seriously not trying to be funny. Does it feel gay driving it? My friend has one and we took it to lunch and I honestly would have rather worn lipstick in public. This is coming from a guy that pulls my bikes with a trailer in a hyundai accent so I'm not above anything. How do you like it?
Can you get the seats to lay flat inside so you could possibly camp in it?
Loved my little Tacoma! It always got me to the trail and back
Re read your post.
It is so cringe.
If you delete it i won't say anything.
Drinking tonight?
