The Haiden Deegan Paradox

He's a WWE character, South park character, and really, really good dirt bike racer. All-in-one. 

We've certainly had some characters in this sport over the years.  We are very lucky to have had all of them(the good ,the bad ,the ugly).  It keeps it fun and interesting. 

Why is that a paradox?  They don't always align, but there's nothing paradoxical about a person being both confident and arrogant.

A better question:
Is Haiden Deegan authentic or playing a character?

He's still young and we all know that. But looking deeper into it, it seems he lacks social maturity and under developed emotional intelligence. It's like the kid who was bigger and faster than everyone in middle school, he could get away with anything. Then goes to high school and gets humbled. That's the part he lacks, humility. 

Look how Jett responded to the boos last year vs. how Deegan reacted at Denver. I kind of felt bad for him, just because he is clearly lacking some internal development. You could see it in his eyes, he took the boos personally and irrationally reacted. He probably would benefit from a high level sports therapist.

Still, I can't help wondering what I would have read about Bradshaw if social media had existed back in the day...

He is both, however the arrogance is projected 100 time more.

One thing about Deegan is that he is very good at showing his cards.  If he feels threatened he goes school yard bully on you.   I would use that against him.     I'm really surprised that everyone backs down from him,  but i guess he is still a big fish in a little pond.   I don't think Jett will play those games, but we'll have to see.

Deegans pass was actually soft, but if he really wanted to fire up the fans, he would have done a Webb hand gesture over the triple after the pass. I thought Webb was supposed to be teaching the guys stuff?

Can’t stand him. The saving grace is that IF Jett can be great for another 5 years and IF Davies improves a lot from year to year he won’t sniff a 450 title.

I don't know, he didn't even flip the finish line. If he can win in Vegas and no one takes him out, he needs to no hand flip the finish giving the birds.
