Just figured it would be worth a debate....I have no idea who this is.  This is not my ad.

Not sure on the legitimacy of that one, but if it’s where I think it is, there’s some pretty bitching bikes in that collection.

It says “ factory racing “ right on the engine cases, so it must be his factory race bike. No doubt in my mind….none at all.

Stop yelling or you will get downvoted! Then you will be on big, super-secret probation.

It could be Brownies, just not a period correct restoration. maybe the frame was one of Brownies practice bikes.

at one point that could have been Brownie's bike. But that poor bike has been "loved hard" these past 25 years (the stickers are the icing on the cake)

I was not predicting I would see one of the ugliest bikes in recent memory when clicking on the link

I mean this in the nicest way possible. Whoever owns that bike needs a lobotomy.

Powder-coated (or spray painted) purple hubs, spokes and rims just scream "Factory Race Bike" to me.

4/21/2025 10:46am

1). The bike is labeled as a 2001 and its clearly not

2). It has (spray?) painted handlebars and hubs

3). Botched seat cover installation

4). Random stickers everywhere

Also, color me shocked there are people on here who don't know how to read. Like actually lack the ability to read a name next to a picture to see who is selling the bike 😂 fuck man

That looks like the same guy / place that has been listing other 125 ex race bikes for sale that are legit ( well least the few I seen before )

seller does have documentation that a 2001 kx 125 was purchased on 10/11/01.

has correspondence from PC where the bike discussed is thought to be matt walkers bike because the plastic on the bike had #68, but may have been one of brown's bikes at one time.

Has a pic of brown signing a kx125 fender in 2018.

I live 15 minutes from Jim's Motorcycle sales in Johnson City. They were a long time sponsor of Brown's from the time until he was on 80s until his privateer title run on Hondas.

If procircuit actually sold that bike, I would bet it is either in Mike's possession or it is in the museum they have at Jim's.

All in all, I would say questionable at best.

Unsure of the legitimacy, and that’s clearly not a 01, but The fork caps and front brake caliper carrier appear to be period correct. The footpegs too. Can’t quite tell if the shock is or not.

Also may have pro circuit clamps. (Missing hardware too)

It may belong to Mike Brown.....just not THAT Mike Brown.

I would imagine that "Mike" and "Brown" are pretty common wherever this bonehead lives....

The periodontist?

it would be disturbing to know how many know wtf you guys are talking about, considering that happened about 30 years ago when very few of us were "masters of our domain".

Now the majority of us fall into one or more of the following categories:

fast talker

soft talker

close talker
