Matthes mentioned Tomac.

Tomac to KTM or Ducati.

From Matthes:

Things are starting to come into focus a little more lately, as to where riders will land in 2026. Most people think that the move of Sexton to Kawasaki thing is going to happen, which leaves a spot at KTM for... Eli Tomac? Yes, ET3 and Yamaha seem to have some difficulties in getting a new deal done, so word is KTM is interested in #3, as is Ducati. Malcolm Stewart is said to be weighing offers from both Triumph and a potential stay at Husky. I would think that Justin Barcia will end up back with Troy Lee, but on the Ducati. Also, Jo Shimoda’s contract is up at Honda, and he has been exploring other options as well. Stay tuned, everyone!

Let's hope that their racing consolidations heading into 2025, along with growing consumer sentiment post-U.S.-election help to right size their cash flow to go racing. It's been really exciting to see the growth and expansions of OEMs and teams over the past dozen years, would be a real shame to see things go backwards.

Totally agree. The momentum over the last decade has been incredible, and it'd be a huge setback to lose that progress. Fingers crossed the strategic consolidations and a more favorable economic climate post-election give them the boost they need. There's too much potential on the table to backslide now.

Plot twist, Tomac joins Ducati and races a dirt bike pushing 110 horsepower.🤪

Eli & Bam as team mates would be hilarious.

It comes full circle. They were teammates on Geico/Factory Connections Honda, and it seems Factory Connections is part of the Ducati program. Both love to rev the bikes, so durability will undergo a true test 😂

Legit question…who and why would anyone downvote these efforts to move forward with the racing / industry that we hold dear? Just trolling for troll’s sake, or did I miss something?

So if Kawasaki is putting their eggs into Sexton, whom seems to be waiting out till the end of Supercross (his decision likely being the result of the championship).

Say Chase wins the title and decides to stick with KTM. This would put Kawasaki behind the ball, in terms of signing guys.

If im Kawasaki im putting my eyes on Justin Cooper. Hes a perfect back up plan if they can’t get Sexton.

I don't think any chips are falling until Sexton decides what he wants to do.

I think there’s lots of deals waiting to be signed until chase signs.

He already has a multi year deal from Star.

I think Chase is going to Kawi, but if something weird happens and he doesn’t sign there, I think they just go back to Anderson with their tail between their legs.

Currently for the 2025 season yes, but he has a new multi-year deal for 2026 and beyond from Star.

Club. Still a possibility with Triumph? If they decide to keep Jordan as a race winner on a 250.

I read that Mookie is talking to Triumph or could be staying with Husky. I’d like to see Jordon stay down on a 250 for them.

If Jordan and RJ both go 450 they better have a second rider lined up there’s no way those 2 stay healthy all season

Kitchen already back on the bike, there is footage of him training on the 450 so I bet he's back. No clue about Mcadoo

Just a guess but I'm taking Sexton and AP on ktm. Mookie and RJ on Husky 450. Gas Gas will go away as factory supported 450 team.

I think MacAdoo basically said on the Pulpmx show  couple Mondays back when they did it from Pro-Circuit that he would not be back this year because of his ACL surgery.

Theorizing:

Kawi offered chase significantly more money. He takes deal back to KTM & they’re shitting bricks, can’t match it. Chase is forced to take the Kawi deal due to being significantly more $$. But KTM has time to implement the first right of refusal. So right now nothing is done until that time passes or KTM says we’re not doing that?

KTM is going to implement the first right of refusal if sexton wins the title, to have the #1 plate. If not, they’re going to let him go & go to plan B. Plan B? Tomac or Mookie for KTM.

If sexton stays at KTM then why can’t Mookie or Tomac go to Kawi?

Nothing happens til Salt Lake City checkered flag flies.
