My new favorite rider is Thunder McHaffie, he's racing US Sprint Enduro series, finished 48th overall (172 riders) at round 3.

I think Stark should offer him a contract, think about the marketing opportunities!

Average Superenduro round for Eddie with 5th overall (5-5-6) and still 5th in the championship with one round to go.

Maybe the FIM can lose the restrictions for electrics next year?

Congrats to Billy Bolt who has been crowned champion again, absolutely dominated, unstoppable.

Another podium in race 1, Eddie ends up 5th in the world championship.

Last year for his Superenduro debut he was 8th on Husqvarna.

MXEP, electric class thought off by Infront without consulting any electric manufacturer, and foreseen for 2026, is DOA.

Here is what Luongo said to Moto Verte:

Still no plan to integrate electric motorcycles into MXGP?

"No! The decision was made by us, but also by all motorsports on earth! There's no point mixing two engine types, two different technologies. It's not meant to be. Afterwards, we gave the possibility to create a separate championship following this "green" wave, but we don't feel any desire from the manufacturers nor any interest from the public. It's fine for having fun on the weekend without making noise, but in elite sport, with the passion of our fans, it doesn't seem appropriate to me."

Stark wasn't interested and other manufacturers are not ready yet so I don't know who would have raced anyway. Honda CR electric, or its production cousin, might be further away than what we thought.

Full points for the BS argument that nobody mixes electrics with ICE when Starks are racing all over Europe, Australia, South America and in FIM Superenduro world championship.

From a French interview with David Luongo on Moto-Verte.

Still no question of integrating electric motorcycles into the World Championship?

No! The decision was made by us, but also by all motorsports on earth! There's no question of mixing two engines, two different technologies. It's not appropriate. Afterwards, we gave the possibility of creating a separate championship following this "green" wave, but we don't feel any will from the manufacturers and then no interest from the public. It's good for having fun on the weekend without making a fuss, but in high-level sport, with the passion of our public, it doesn't seem appropriate to me."

Our state Motoclimb series kicked off about two weeks ago and I was able to take home the Pro Stock class win on my Varg.  This race was somewhat of a warm up for the bigger national coming up next weekend but I’ve been practicing quite a bit so I’m confident I can back this up with another good result.  I’m also pretty happy with how the graphics setup came out for this year, lots of people pissed as hell about me racing this bike so I decided to go with a darker theme for this season, fuck them all😈

Please stop winning, you're not helping the AMA extending this to other series 😂

Taddy B is back at KTM as official rider, brand ambassador and... consultant for electric motorcycle development.

Looks like they're starting to take this seriously, the race is on!

France Elite MX, round 1 there was 1 Varg, Herbreteau finished 12th

Round 2 there were 4 Varg riders : Herbreteau and Irsuti in SX1, Wade and Jayal in SX2.

In MX1 Irsuti signed the first top 10 for Stark with 10th overall (10/12), things went sideways for Herbreteau in race 1 but he had similar pace to his teammate in race 2 for 15th overall (24/11).

In MX2 Wade showed some potential, DNF race 1 but 9th in race 2 got him 25th overall (still better than his rookie teammate Jayal in 36th).

Top10 in 30 min races in MX1 and MX2 at round 2, let's see where they go from there.

I boosted the ole Varg up to 70hp on Saturday. Safe to say we made a mess of the track. IMG 1044 1

No! The decision was made by us, but also by all motorsports on earth! There's no question of mixing two engines, two different technologies. It's not appropriate. I agree with Luongo, in the sense that it's difficult and maybe doesn't make sense to mix two engine types, it wouldn't end well (for ICE) and would create chaos for the first 2-3-4years, but it's a shame for motocross (or sx).

If compared to F1 they could go hybrid, they can at least pretend 'environment friendly', but motocross, or 'dirt bikes', it feels more and more 'r*dn*ck' in todays world. So inaccessible due to the noise.

For me it's only the noise, I cannot see a big future due to that, or maybe my friends in NL and Belgium can, more and more tracks opening, larger and larger crowds that want to race loud 'dirt' bikes??? Wha about California, more tracks opening due to noise not bothering anyone?

My feelings on what 'is cooler' or loving a roaring start with 450s has nothing to do with the future of the sport... I will lose 100% vs noise complainers.

On the Enduro side of things, Varg riders have been competing in FIM Superenduro, various Hard enduro national championships and in the US in GNCC and US Sprint Enduro series.

Stark Varg riders are keeping themselves busy in France (podiums in SX tour, top10s in Elite MX, podiums in national vets), we can now add Cross country to the list.

This past weekend was probably one of the first official races for a Varg EX rider. Enzo Marchal got the first holeshot of the season. In the 3h race he ended up 22nd out of 170 riders. Decent start but his objectives are much more ambitious, we'll see if he can get closer to threatening the top6.

I'm assuming they're swapping the battery multiple times on a 3hr race? I am going through a charge in about 40 mins (2 20-minutes motos) on an outdoor track. I get about 60-70 mins on an AX track.

Amateurs at GNCC get about 1.5-2h range so yes they must swap batteries for the 3h race, as they already do for some other races.

They've said they had done slight modifications to the bike for 1 min battery swaps, it would be interesting to see what kind of range he gets (it was a 8-9 min lap).

Edit: found an Instagram reel, sub-1 min swap, no info on range.

That was bad ass! Homie has some serious core strength to swing that battery like that from his sitting position!

The new EX battery is smashing my previous mx battery timelines. The chassis has a great feel as well. Slightly softer in a very good way.

Are you riding your EX on a moto track to feel the softer chassis? Where do you feel the chassis is softer, like does it feel plusher through the bars or the rear or just overall?

I have messed with my MX suspension alot and got it very good, but I think the MX has a harshness to the chassis that suspension will never completely get rid of.

I am riding moto w/ mx suspension. The majority of chassis feel is through my feet. Running Metz EX tires w/ mousse bibs. I was surprised on the level of traction & feel I had. First time ever on the mousses.
I'll run an EX moto and then swap bikes to mx. The  comparison feel is really clear. You'll be stoked!

Cheers for your feedback. I'm feeling most of the harshness through my hands. I've definitely made it alot better than stock, but I feel it is partly in the chassis or maybe triple clamps.

Stark is setting up some kind of international contingency program for amateurs

It's open to 12 countries but so far only events in the US have been added. Pays up to 3rd if there's a minimum of 5 finishers in a class mixing electric and ICE.
