The deportation is not as much of an issue as sending people to a 3rd party country to serve a sentence for something the were never proven guilty of.

If you read the Declaration of Independence disappearing people without due process was in their grievances with the king.

For everyone.

One thing I remember reading years ago. The Bill of Rights, as part of  our. constitution, didn't  apply to Native American tribes or even Latino tribes.

Look into it - it's interesting.

They do apply to everyone. The issue with Native Americans and the Bill of Rights is that they don’t apply on reservation land because those are considered sovereign nations. Even without border crossings and custom points, when you travel through a reservation you are in a different country, so to speak.

But when a Native American is on land that is not part of that nation but rather solely a part of the United States, they have the same protection from the Bill of Rights as everyone as these are not given by the government. The Bill of Rights is an acknowledgment of rights bestowed by a creator and any deprivation of those rights is an infringement.

That’s a big part of why the institution of slavery was such a blight on our country. It was completely incompatible with the supposed founding principles of our country.

You nailed it with that last sentence.

From 1791  to  1851 there was no reservation system - but they still had their tribal lands .  The reservations created were intended to segregate Native Americans from Euro/white settlers and control their land, as Euro/white moved more west and demanded more land.  I believe there was even a period where it was illegal for them to even step off their lands until around 1885. They were allowed to commit murder & rape up until that point (under their own traditions & customs).  Pretty crazy stuff.

It's interesting though.

Its so easy: make products that are desirable and other countries buy it. Tesla, Levis, Microsoft, google, Meta, etc show how its done.

USA has so many strong and world leading industries, why do you keep looking back at how it was a dozen years ago instead of focussing on what you became really good at?

But instead of investing into future technologies and continuing a structural transformation, coal mines are fired up again....

And some states want to bring back child labor, bringing back the good old days...

Seems to be a regular occurrence.

It would have to be either getting a reply you don't like, or realizing you're sorry for something said: delete.

Kinda lame.

So now, no reciprocal tariffs on smartphones, computers, TVs and other electronic components. It's hard to keep up!

Cook gave Trump a million, didn't he? Guess this is a thank you gift. Tesla commercial, market manipulation, tax exemption for smartphones - just some Billionaires helping each other out.

And people still think its the immigrants and other nations ripping them off.

The 15% is China's EXPORT market and doesn't include it's domestic market which is already huge and growing.

Either way. Why just argue? There’s no point. It would be good to have an actual dialogue over this but it quickly turns to “hate Trump”. No one has any further ideas or other candidate that would handle all this better. I was gonna start a “Do nothing counter” since that seems like the only solution lib Dems have. But what’s the point, lib Dem msm fox cnn followers don’t have any ideas or input other than what these networks put out.

Woods riding taking a hit. Yeah smart...let's cut down what little we have left instead of buying it from our brothers to the north that have so much more.
