Hmmmm....
Just a tid-bit but interesting how the rear brake lever sits inside the frame, never seen that before. Not sure how easy that will be to clean when its full of mud tho.

Ducati had a nice cutaway at MotoGP.
Thats pretty crazy that it has that much more hp and tq than the yz450f and is lighter. Its gonna be a beast. That being said the 450s are plenty fast enough, I believe the real game changer is going to be the 250f. 8 more hp and 6 more ft lbs on a stock 250f would be insane. Cant wait to see the numbers on that bike when it comes out.
I think the triumph is a great bike and they really did a great job coming right out with a competitive bike right out the gate. That being said they didnt do anything new or different than the other brands (which was smart imo), they just saw what worked and did that. Its cool to see ducati actually bringing new technology to motocross that we havent seen before that has clear benefits and large upsides. Not in a cannondale way either where theyre throwing the kitchen sink at the wall, ducati is taking their proven motogp technology and moving it over to mx.
Now that every bike has gone with the centerport exhaust, downdraft intake, dohc with finger followers for 250f, dohc/finger followers or roller rocker/sohc for 450f, high comp pistons, electronic fuel injection…etc theyve basically all caught up to eachother and mated the motogp tech to mx. Ducati bringing in the desmo valve train and opening up a lot more power by getting rid of the springs is going to make it so these guys are going to have to catch up somehow. I’m not sure what direction theyre going to take but some of the options are direct injection, variable valve timing, pneumatic valves, dry sump transmission, dropping weight by using the engine as a stressed member of the frame, carbon fiber frames, ram air outside of yamaha, new rod/piston metallurgy… and more. Gonna be cool to see what they do. May need to get rid of the production rule if it got that far.
We don’t actually know if the Ducati is faster yet, not until it’s on a dyno against the other bikes on the same dyno and same day.

I haven’t seen a Desmo at the track yet. Somebody had one at track close to my house couple weeks back, Ultimate MX, Alvin, Tx. I wasn’t at the track that day.
I kinda was thinking Desmo 250 when they come out…………….but my wife would sell my body parts on the dark web.
You could put a vacuum pump on it and make more Pasta
