Been searching for reviews out there of the new fuel injected 150 sx 2025 and i can't find anything (exept a video from Mxa).
Strange to say the least for a highly anticipated two strokes.
Anybody rode one and can tell us how this thing ride compare to any 125/150 carb or 250 4 strokes ?
Thanks !
Not sure it helps much but swap has a tc150 review video and dirtrider has a written review.
All kinds of threads on here of the 24,25 125,150. Not good reviews is putting it lightly. 100% confident my 04 cr125 DBP JM racing engine can beat them off a corner & runs Super clean
It’s so painful to listen to people (who’ve only ridden 4-strokes) these days that have never ridden a 2-stroke. They never shift and think they should just leave it in 1-3rd all the way around the track. It’s horrible. SHIFT THE DAMN THING!

They literally don’t know how to ride them and then complain about the bike when the rider is actually just a tier 1 retard.
The EFI works better on bigger bikes (300cc). On the smaller bikes, it adds 10+lbs and decreases hp and powerband.
Yeah nobody is honest. Just say I don’t hv the skill & I can’t get there mentally. That’s the hardest part I think for riders. Brain says u hv to slow way down to link corners , switch backs etc together. Keep it pulling in the mid range , upper mid , top . Use clutch I like to use rear brake too control wheel spin & grip. Get a rt butt cheek on the rt side of the seat & move around. Down hill into a rt corner your body is forward on exit your hyper up shifting . Wheel spin get off the back & you,ll get traction & hear the engine work. It’s a blast to ride them
Bring that hoopty to a race for once and let’s see how it fares.
The first 3 minutes of this is excellent advice on riding a two stroke (125 or 150):
TFish vs Pro125, give the D16 fans what they want to see!
Haha yeah. I might get blown away by a tornado tonight in Tn. Tornado warning until 5am. It’s like Wi. July muggy with storms.
Bawk bawk bawk — sounds like chicken to me
Give the people what they want professional. Race that 125 like you’re running from a tornado
That is… unless you ain’t man enough?
Thanks i didn't know about those ones !
Seems like a great bike but i'm waiting to hear some feedback from the average joe out here
Deflect deflect deflect 😆
$100 toward the winner from me. I'm here for any and all Pro125 content.
I’ll even pay for his entry fee if it’s at Millville. Long start, long straight, hills, hp matters (at least a little bit). He’s prolly gonna want it at Denmark though.
I was gonna say I bet we could crowdfund a nice little purse for this (big $$$ races as he would put it). Put up or shut up Pro!
If you are riding a small bore 2 smoke you better be banging gears all the time
Pit Row
I didn't reply to the original question because I'm not sure it's relevant, but I rode a stock 2024 TC125 this weekend. Last 125 I rode was a stock 2017 SX125 at a demo day.
To be honest, I was really surprised how shitty it ran. I'm used to 125's having a free-revving engine, and this bike did not feel free. It took forever to get to the high RPM's just revving the bike in neutral. On the track, it was disgusting slow. Not just because it was a 125, it was truly slow as shit. 1st gear, 2nd gear, 5th gear, any gear.
I had heard people struggling to dial in these new ones, but this was really surprising how bad the bike was. Maybe this specific bike is an exception, but wow was it terrible.
I don’t believe KTM made a 150SX in ‘24. Not sure about ‘23 either. But maybe they only skipped a year.
No 150SX in 23 or 24.
Cool man Thx. Does July 13 Pro track day work ? July 11 they might not hv whoops like last yr. Micheal & Vital Mx will be there at Millville we can party with them the night b4. If there interested they could film it . Bill it as 2 worlds collide TFish the Millville specialist on a 43 hp fire breathing Ktm 125 vs Moi Profeshenal 125 The fastest 04cr125 rider in the world or Eastern part of the county . Lol On the Tara Gieger 04 cr125 replica engine spec minus the stroker crank , Double Boost Port Red Rocket. Don’t care about the start there just looking for an opening when I hit the whoops . Then engage the DBP & I,m gone. I thought about 55,50a for my 1st race back. But I see u race 40,45b I,ll race 45B with you , that will be fun. . You know there’s experts like Godeck a 25a rider for yrs in 45b. But I don’t care it’s the same in 55b my other class . I wanted a tune up with 4 days of practice & racing. B4 Deschambault Tuesday to Sat. Then premix on Sunday . The bad hv mri on neck 4-9 my arms r going bad from
The nerves . plan to inject rotar cuff so my arm moves, hip joint & back. Hold surgeries off until August. Forgot Pro track day we get the big down hill , ah yeah.
Still easier than pulling these . I took it out of 1st & let the surge bring me all the way on the kat scale then sat there ovr 3 minutes to wait for surge to stop. It still had me ovr 14k on steers. I pulled a reefer with haz mat liquid totes . I never had 1 this bad then run narrow 2 lane rds in Tn.& Ky. Water treatment 48,800 2/3 full tanker
isn’t as bad or 500k super tanker . Tweeked - bent torsion arm drive suspension I never saw that . I asked 30 yr mechanics how that is possible. They said it’s not . Mexican steer spring & bushing that’s like a wet noodle . Ridiculous on how bad the shocks & busted & blown out seat is.
45B? Nope, they have a 125cc class for all ages and abilities. This isn’t a me versus you thing, it’s a fuel-injected KTM versus your fire-breathing only fast CR125 in existence thing, but I’ll join the party. I bought a 2024 125SX 2 years ago, so I’ll just be part of your competition. I rode the bike 3 times in 2023 (has 6 hours on it) and haven’t touched it since, but I’ll get it back out and see if I can figure out how to ride it by July.
See you then!
As I mentioned above, I have a 2024 KTM 125SX. I’ve only ridden it 3 times in the nearly two years I’ve had it. Mine actually runs very well, but I think it’s slow. My opinion on the performance probably isn’t fair because I got rid of a very stout and well-built 2018 150SX for it, so they can’t really be compared. A friend of mine had a LL-level YZ125 and, if I recall correctly, felt the ‘24. 125 of mine was just as fast, if not faster. Maybe he will chime in and either verify that or correct me if I’m wrong. While it’s been more than a year and a half since I’ve even started the bike and rode it, I do recall it running very good, was super crisp, and the throttle response was absolutely incredible and the most noteworthy thing about it.
Good to hear some feedback from an owner. I'm not sure what the deal is with this bike, it's fresh off the dealership floor, never been touched. We were at 4,500' elevation, but I don't think that would make the bike run so poorly.
Maybe he's mixing it too rich? I couldn't believe how sluggish the bike was just revving it at the truck in neutral. I need to ride another to compare.
I know once i restored my 09 150SX , and got the power valve working properly, that thing is a FKN MONSTER! I am 210lbs with gear and it rips me around my track at whatever speed im willing to twist the throttle to. I barely even ride my YZ250F any more. I take it out occasionally ,but its not nearly as exciting as the 150SX on the track. Just a boring ass 4 stroke. If it ain't screaming, it ain't shit.
Apparently the ‘25 chassis is really good. It might be worth getting one and trying to switch/ convert it over to a non-fi version engine (‘22 or earlier).
From what I have seen is these bikes can rip just as good as the older ones. The biggest thing is the mapping is conservative stock.
The 23's were the worst originally and the newer years have better mapping now. But if you really want it to rip. You have a couple options. Stock ecu remapped or the GET ecu or TSP ecu.
All options cost less than a 4 stroke exhaust system. Also think I've seen they run poorly if you mix too much oil in your premix. Owners Generally trying to treat it like it's a carb'd bike. Like the fi 4 strokes it's all about the mapping now. And having a odb reader essentially using a computer to diagnostic it. Making sure the TPS is setup reading correctly.
Experiences with these bikes vary greatly because they are essentially more complicated. With the added sensors and the added fi parts. When they fail or start running badly. Get frustrated fast with trying to diagnose it. Most of the time its because they don't have the proper tools to do so.
So you have to basically consider this an added cost of ownership. Which some find off putting and another reason to diss on these bikes.
