Damn 500 guy, you missed on this one big time. This has nothing to do with Cairoli, he's caught in the middle of the team and the federation's pissing match. I agree with whoever said an agreement will be reached between now and then.

Cairoli gets told wear the shirt or don't ride and he say's I'm not riding, He backed out and I can't blame him that 350 will get destroyed at high altitude against better riders.
Jay, sometimes you come off as the biggest knee-jerk retard on this board. Is that Arizona sun making your neck so red that you cannot think straight? Seriously, or are you so pro-USA brainwashed that you refuse to comprehend international matters?

Dude, you make me embarrassed to be an American when you start this shit...I'm just sayin'!

Pumped to see CP377 on a 450, some of our questions may be answered. Not saying you can only judge a guy be one race though

Unless you need an excuse

I heard that a million times the 2 years USA didn't attend.
If I just whine here, would you whine with me...

Says it all about Forums.
Wow, is the Earth still revolving? I can't believe I agree with mxgeoff. 350 or 450 won't matter. AC will be a force to be reckoned with either way. Can't wait to see the race. After 2 weekends without a National I'm way excited to see a race.

It has already been said here, of course AC will go. This is just some chest pounding between people in Italy, so the vultures can calm down... Smile

If AC doesn't go, we can together build a bandwagon with the sole purpose to ridicule or whatever towards the guilty ones.

Personal observation, but seems like AC is a very fan-friendly guy, also seems very passionate towards the sport and racing against the best, so I would not be in his mind not to go and he will probably become very sad if people blame him for this...

Just saying of course!

Damn, this race will be epic!!!

I think a few people missed my tongue in cheek about Cairoli.

Him and Philliparts are awesome riders. I was just throwing some of the same shit that got thrown our way when the USA didn't compete.

Cairoli is a class act. Here is his week when he came to Baltic states. Saturday, sunday- GP of Latvia, then on wednesday he participated in a race in Tanel Leok`s home town, organized by Leok family and attended by around 40000 spectators, then of to GP of Sweden.

Don't try to cover your a$$ now,it's like you couldn't wait to stick in a usual low life comment, and before the dust hadn't even settled either, most people on here seem to have you figured out anyway,as mentioned,AC is a certain type of guy,and one who would try everything to get to an event, especially one as big as this and he's not worried who he lines up against and where,350 or not,it's a bit early to start throwing shit about, something that you're clearly full of

By the way your village called, they say the idiot is missing

Does it really matter who the other countries send? America almost always dominates these things.... Fact. We rarely get to send out top riders either. You'd have to be nuts to bet against America any year any where. Our B-Team one last year with our Rookie 450 rider (first time racing a 450 outdoors profesionaly) won the individual overall even. Waaaa but AC crashed, that's racing guys. We are on top right now, could change sometime, but probably not for a while. I'm heading to bed so in advance to people-foreigners that slam me for that..... blow me and snap into reality.

Wear a "wifebeater"? Or BE a "wifebeater". Wow, that's probably politically incorrect isn't it?

Is your ego so shallow that YOU must have it bolstered by 3 dirt bike riders? You say WE are on top. Are you a member of that group that is on top? Get your self esteem from YOUR own accompiishments. Unless you feel that you are inferior, than I guess you can get it from 3 other dirt bike riders...

Pardon me. You stated in another thread today that the 350 is really a "400 or a 450". Now you say that is is a 350 and it will get "destroyed."

Yes, Jay makes some weird arguments sometimes but i, for one, can say I HAVE NEVER BEEN EMBARRASSED TO BE AN AMERICAN. Nor will I ever be.

Sorry to jump into y'alls argument but thats a touchy subject for me.

Lame of the Italian federation. What, is it a amateur vs pro thing like the olympics.... Give a little power to some idiots and they have to piss on every thing to mark their territory.

Christophe Pourcel will ride for France at the Nations, but Italy take their B team after dropping Toni Cairoli and David Philippaerts !
French team manager Olivier Robert was delighted that "Christophe Pourcel is very enthusiastic to race for France again" and MX2 nominee Marvin Musquin insisted: "We finished second to the US three times; this time we want to beat them !" Pourcel will take the MX1 slot and the Open class ride will be taken by Xavier Boog.

The Kawasaki MX1 GP rider did not race in Loket, but explained: "My knee ligament is stretched but not broken. I need to rest it still this weekend, but I will try to ride on Monday and if all is OK, then I will go to Brazil."

Italy meanwhile are in tatters !

"I want to go to the Nations, every rider wants to go, and I think the fans from Italy and the rest of the world will not be happy that we will not be there. This is not our argument; the teams want a sponsor on the shirt, the federation say no, but it is the teams which pay everything," commented David Philippaerts.

Michele Rinaldi explained in more detail: "We asked for the logo of the manufacturer and main sponsor on the front of the shirt, but the federation only offered a very small logo on the sleeve. This was unacceptable."

Italy will now go to the Nations with Alessandro Lupino at MX2 and the other two classes to be chosen from Davide Guarneri, Manuel Monni and Alex Salvini.
