And while under marshal law, holding elections would be against the law/constitution. So your assertion about him violating election laws is actually wrong by 180 degrees.

Here's the actions and reactions being wagered by the dipshits in Europe.
1.) Euro countries let Ukraine join NATO: Russia will launch nukes that night, WW3 starts, nobody wins.
2.) NATO keeps funding Zelensky's BS War campaign, never looking for a real peace deal. Sending more bombs to Russia. Russia finally launches nukes and WW3 starts. Nobody wins.
3.) Zelensky actually makes the peace deal with Russia and USA gets their Minerals deal as payback for AID. Ceasefire commences, and Russia gets the tiny chunk of land they wanted after all. Ukraine remains off the NATO list and a treaty is signed that they cannot join under any circumstances here forth. Not another dime goes to Ukraine's aid if it finds itself in a future conflict with Russia.
4.) Putin finally has enough of the failed negotiations with Zelensky and Russia finally unleashes hell. USA does not respond because this is Zelensky's problem. The USA isn't about to start WW3 for a conflict that was never ours.
I'll take option 3.
Option 3 is a fairly tale. Putin has sent his “peace deal” to Zelenskyy 3 times, and refused to negotiate it.
1. Donbass becomes Russia
2. Zelenskyy no longer president
3. Ukraine can never join NATO, must sign neutrality agreements and cannot negotiate defence assurances from other countries.
4. Ukraine must drop military to 50,000 people
5. Any weapon with more than 20kms range must be destroyed and/or turned over to Putin
This would leave Ukraine completely defenceless when Putin decides to annex the rest of Ukraine. Worse, Ukraine’s allies wouldn’t be able to help.
So tell me, oh brilliant one, if your country was under attack, would you sign this deal in the name of “peace”?

I don’t see any peace that is made as being as anything but temporary.
Putin did shit on every agreement, ceasefire, whatever in the past. As he didn't reach his goals in ukraine yet, why do you think he will stop the war this time?
Especially since the agreement literally says: sign here for ceasefire, but if you don't adhere to your part of the agreement it, we don't care - not our business.
Heres a take on this from the Irish perspective.
We fought a war with ourselves for 30 years. What we learned is: no ones a winner in war.
I have 3 generations of Ukrainians living with me. I took them in over a year ago when they finally fled the fighting. (I had 3 more before that). Dont believe everything you hear in the media.
Is Ukraine corrupt, yes it very much is. My Ukrainians hated the corruption & some of the personal stories they tell are heart wrenching. They are working on it but it will take a generation or 2 to change social norms & corruption will always exist. Its funny how a few Americans are critical or Ukraine, yet daily we get updates from Doge around billions in American fraud. Every country in the world has mega frauds. Look at the jumbo motocross teams for eg.
On the war, the Ukrainians want peace & they are prepared to give up land for it. But, they want a lasting peace.
Russia broke the Budapest Memorandum signed in 1994. ( for those who dont know the US pressured Ukraine to give its nukes to russia because they were afraid Ukraine could become a failed state. The us then gave security assurances). How did that work out for Ukraine? Further peace deaks then broken by russia in later years.
If you were Ukraine you will want to join nato to prevent further war. Why do people accuse zelenzy of wanting to start world war 3? Then in the next breath they tell u world war 3 will never be fought because it cannot be won! Trump is a business man. He is a shark. Russia is more of a threat than many realise. Look at Belarus. The election was rigged to put a puppet in power. Look at whats happening in Georgia. Look at russian influence in Romania. Or the cyber attacks, & chemical assassinations on uk streets.
Trump is a smart man. His refusal to pay has forced all the Euro governments to pay up to support Ukraine. For too long we have sat back & relied on the us. Trump has got what he wanted in a round about way. & now that frees up American resources to contain china.

News flash, the US does exactly the same thing as Russia when it comes to influencing elections, more so I’d say. The whole reason Georgia got into a conflict with Russia was because they had a US puppet in power. Said puppet then fled to Ukraine and helped with the Maiden overthrow.
So it serms like a good idea for us to keep shoveling billions of dollars unending into that incinerator of misery? Mortgaging the USA's childrens future? What is the worse that could happen, Putin lead Ukraine rather than Zelensky?
