I agree with many things you wrote, but i don't think the conclusion is correct. Giving in to Putin doesn't stop the war. It may pause it, but at the same time allow russia to regain strength by rebuilding their military for the next push. Putin makes no secret about the fact that he wants to expand his empire. Medwedew already denoted Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia as russian provinces years ago. They will go for those countries next. No doubt about that. Why would they stop after learning that they eventually get what they want if they have enough fire power?
There might be a pond between the US and Russia, but Russia and their vassal states as well as china taking control over the asian and african continent will shift the balance of power. And this will be felt by everyone in the western world if we don't stand together. If we seperate from each other, it makes us weaker and more vulnerable. Europe needs the US but the US also needs Europe.
Europe made big mistakes and took advantage of the US for too long in many regards. But punishing Europe by strengthening Putin, will hurt both of us in the end. We need to repair our relationship without playing into the cards of dictators all over the world.
The difference is Trump is trying to avoid war now, Zelensky is hurtling headlong into it.

Just because Putin states something does not make it histrorically inaccurate or propaganda. As far as Trump appeasing Putin, we have been at war with Russia - via Ukraine - for three years now. Also, we should…at the very least, take the reports of violence -to put it mildly- against “Ethnic Russians” in Ukraine for the known problem that it is…and will be.
In a perfect world, we’d take the Donbas back from Vlad’s fruity little minions…and then we’d need protect the “Ethnic Russians” that choose to stay…and that ain’t an easy thing to do.
These aren’t unreasonable things to consider.

Independent of who the president is now or who was president for the last four years, Russia invaded Ukraine. That is somehow lost on a lot of you.
Also, I was just being candid/honest about Trump. Hatred is a strong word but the guy has no redeeming qualities. That is just my opinion but there is plenty of information to show how I could feel that way about him and why people across the entire country are protesting against him and his cronies.

Try again. Zelensky said he would only step down if a peace deal is made via "letting Ukraine join NATO". That's definitely NOT going to happen. Its bad enough Biden started to help out when we have no business helping. Except his son Hunter Biden was involved in Ukraine, meaning democrats are involved in Corrupt Ukraine, so they had to protect their money laundering. Now we're thick in this BS War that's not our problem. If we let Ukraine join NATO, get ready for WW3 the next day. Putin already said he would take Ukraine joining NATO as a direct act of war with Nuclear consequences. No one wins in that scenario.

Zelensky is like a bad business partner. He wants to make all the decisions and for us to do most of the funding.
Like a failing business, at some point the investors comes in and start calling the shots and being pragmatic about what needs to be done going forward and to not dwell on the past.

He broke every agreement in the past and misused it to his advantage. He has proven again and again that he can't be trusted, that his word is worthless and that he doesn't fear consequences.
