So in the last 3 out of 4 races chase has been passed on the last lap by two other riders. Tampa, Arlington race 3 and tonight in Daytona. I dont get it. it looks like he just gives up after a mistake or a fall. Hes definitely a basket case but man watching him just quit like that is frustrating.
He said his throttle was messed up after his fall at Tampa.
He crashed his brains out in his heat. Lucky he was even out there
At the rate he caught the leaders i find it hard to believe he was hurt. He was faster than everyone for 17 minutes.
He said it was hard to breath due to him choking..........

Wouldn't be surprised to hear it was shock fade.
He poured it on as long as he could and faded. He can't beat Plessinger now?
Must’ve been from Webbs stoogie 😂😂😂
Since when has chase sexton faded. The guy went from 40th to 1st at hangtown and came off the track looking like he could do it again. It makes no sense for him to be getting passed by the guys that are beating him. He should be able to ride at 90 percent and still stay in front these guys
theres a reason why ppl say the fastest rider doesn’t always win the title cause look at the shit hes doing and while all of this is transpiring, coop just slowly but surely putting pts on the board separating himself to where at the rate the momentum is going , he can potentially have a good pts cushion to relax with going into SLC
Didn't Coop stall his bike, and have at least one oops moment in the main?
Which year was it he crashed out in Arlington while in a championship points battle?
I know but before the whoop crash he was way off pace compared to mookie. And im not taking nothing away from mookie but he is barely top 5 now. You would think sexton should of been able to manage that gap better to keep from being pressured and crashing in the whoops.
2020 is when coop wrecked. Yes Coop made mistakes tonight but look at how he rebounded from them. He took a second. We just saw sexton make similar mistakes last week and throw away a overall win and the points lead. Those two arent comparable when it comes to the mental game.
if u wana compare coop’s mistakes to chases mistakes , coop’s mistake tht yr in Arlington cost him tht 1 title & then obviously the tip over in the corner in 23 so thts 2 in total , compared to wht chase in 22 SX , 22 Mx , 23 Mx & 24 SX & this yr while chase is the fastest with Jett & Eli out & imo he still is the fastest with Jett & Eli in depending on tht week , chase single handily got him in a situation where in a span of wht 3 to 4 races , coop went from being down more than 10 pts , to being up by 10 pts
edit: & by costing titles i mean in series there were picked as potential title winners
He looked like he gave up the last two races after realizing he had blown it. I'd be bummed to be his team and see that.
Something happened tonight. It wasn't a gradual fade. He quickly went from fighting for second to looking like bike would barely go around corners. Arm pump, flat tire, shock gave up..... something changed late in the race tonight.
From KTM.
Chase Sexton: “Daytona was up and down. I qualified fastest, but crashed in my Heat, forcing me to qualify through to the Main via the LCQ, so it definitely was not my best night. In the end, I did what I could tonight, but just didn’t have enough in the tank.”
He may not have even known what day it was🤔

Pit Row
His left arm/wrist looked limp in the few shots I saw where they were focusing on it. Who knows.
"Since when has Chase faded." When he wrecks his brains out in a heat and he's running on pure adrenaline to start the long, grueling Daytona main? Dude probably rang his bell in that crash. What makes more sense, the fittest rider wasn't hurt after a crash and just faded? Or he wasn't right physically after that get off, blow his load early in the main, and coasted it in?
So he got tired? It was weird watching it happen. Even RC and James couldn't guess.
His mental strength is less and less each week. Even with a 10-second lead in the LCQ he's making mistakes.
If you guys want to know what concussion symptoms look like, Chase put on a pretty good display of trying to ride through the pain. At the end of the day he was probably seeing triple and trying to figure out if the left, right, or center, was the correct one. With that being said, he is his own enemy at this point. He's fast as hell, but makes small errors in judgement that cost him big.
Yeah, almost like he wasn't right physically. Hmm
Jade said he hurt his wrist a few weeks ago. Last night he just looked tired at the end imo.
He had no problem working his way into the top 5 within 5 minutes and being 3rd fastest on track with no mistakes in the main event.
I thought I saw him come up short behind Webb? Maybe torqued his hurt wrist?
I don’t know what happened, but he reeled in Webb and looked like he was still moving forward, then suddenly he was 3 down, then 5 down and AP on him, etc.
That's the first time I can recall him fade with what appeared to be a tired rider…. I’d say it had to do with the heat race crash and he wasn’t 100%.
Still not 1/2 way through the season and Chase and Kenny are definitely still in it, but Webb is in the drivers seat and with his consistency, they are going to need some help.
Its not the 1st time Daytonas brutality tough and long track wore someone out.
Perfect example of Webb's approach to winning a title was last night. He made that mistake when he was on Kenny's rear wheel. Instead of absolutely sending it to maybe get the win, he just settled into 2nd and brought it home.
