Deport the criminals yes, but I don't really care much about the law abiding ones. We got bigger problems to worry about. Most are doing jobs Americans don't want to do. My landscaper told me he had a helluva time finding workers, and those are the jobs they take.

All I'll say here is that anyone who thinks Trump is clever for using bankruptcies to negotiate reductions in his debts has no business expressing any indignation or moral outrage at KTM restructuring and paying creditors 30 cents on the dollar. Trump is nothing if not ruthless - whether or not that's acceptable in business I'll leave as an open question. But I wouldn't be a bit surprised if some of the people hammering KTM for shafting creditors also are Trump fans. That would be irrational. If you're a Trump fan and admire his ruthlessness, just own it and be consistent, allowing the same latitude for other business owners. If that makes you uncomfortable, then it's probably time for some soul searching.
I have little faith in the prospects for justice if powerful people are involved. There will probably be a few sacrificial lambs, but even more people protected. I hope I'm wrong.

Don't the trucking companies have requirements for new hires? Certain licenses, etc in order to be a driver? Seems like it's more the trucking companies fault for hiring unqualified people. I was more talking about them doing jobs like landscaping, hotel work, etc that doesn't require something like a license. I'm fine with that.
As I said, yes deport the criminals, but I think we got bigger problems than trying to deport every single illegal, es especially if it's a woman cleaning houses and not bothering anyone. I tend to agree with this. I’ve met some illegals that were some of the nicest folks I’ve come into contact with. I think what R66 is referring to mainly is the criminal element that some definitely bring to this country and have run unchecked for many years committing atrocious crimes. It’s sickening.
Speaking of trucking and immigrants, in 2018 an Indian immigrant (legal) was driving a semi truck that hit a bus carrying a junior hockey team in rural Saskatchewan, killing 16 and injuring 13. He served 8 years in jail and now is fighting a deportation order. It was, but all accounts, an accident - a very unfortunate and tragic one. But it really brought into the spotlight the issue of proper training and procedures in the trucking industry. You can't just throw any old person behind the wheel of a truck and expect them to drive safely. There is a lot at stake, folks so I think it's safe to say that Profeshnal125 is raising some really important issues.

After we got hit by Helene & Milton last fall. The illegals started coming out of the woodwork around here to loot on the islands and the more upscale neighborhoods. "At least 41 illegal immigrants were arrested for allegedly looting." That headline made national news. Not one of them had a criminal background before hand - but they do now. lol There were also many more that were part of their looting ring that never got caught. Rarely do I hear good stories about illegals in groups. Seems they are up to no good. Especially the MS13-idiots.

The trucking co.s are operated from 3rd world countries & a Massive amount from Eastern Europe. My last co states there from Green Bay . But 100% is operated from Ukraine. Every aspect of the co . I had a what sounded like a 8 yr old Ukraine girl call & state the safety guide lines. A live camera facing me if I ever took my phone off the dash holder to check google directions. She would call & say we must talk of phone usage, always f ing weird. Dispatch talked to them daily . I got a payroll women’s # at tge end she was great. I would say hello in Ukraine & she would bust out laughing. Only way I can say it is like a robot. There is 1 guy pt in Bolingbrook he’s a crook. The Ukraine people where Very nice . I had to call to change hrs at 05.00 I could here bombs going off. This was the highest paying job listed, that’s why I worked there. Co b4 long story but I said I,m not leaving until I,m paid . They called 3 Bolingbrook police cruisers. With 6 officers because some drivers start shooting them. I told the police I,m not leaving until I,m paid . I was given a trespassing warning citation . Funny giving a Indian a trespassing ticket. The officer said sign this I refused because I,m not trespassing. And I said the citation is blank you didn’t put the carbon paper in. I hv 8 other co.s that didn’t pay 1 is a huge amount. Now I was trained by a Iieutent cornel of the state police at the biggest pipeline co in the world. The thing is 1) deporting all of them hurts our economy 2) you voted for the guy who is taking tax dollars from hard working lower income/middle class and redistributing it to the wealthy 1%. I don't want criminals here either but the whole mass deportation thing is not a great solution.
