Yeah, map one. Light off. When I first got mine back the clutch was real grabby but that went away the first five minutes I rode it.
Yeah I was hoping it would go away but nothing changed. Clutch pull stiffened if anything then no matter what I could not shift up unless quick shift was active.
That sucks. Sounds like something got installed wrong. Seems like they'd take it for a test ride.

I sat on a Triumph TF250 today in the showroom. I was shocked at how tall the seat height is. By far the tallest MX bike I have ever sat on. Any one else notice this?
I don’t notice it to be any bit significantly taller in the seat than my 2022 CRF250R when the sag is set correctly. Possible the dealer just has the spring cranked?
Got to take my bike out post recall. Clutch extremely grabby right away, after a few minutes of riding it was mostly fine. Seems to start a bit better in the cold as well
What do you guys think about the Triumph Racing Green?
I would think unlikely that a dealer would touch sag. Maybe the sag was set a bit off at the factory. I am 5'10" and I couldn't swing my swing my leg over w/o dragging my foot on the rear fender so I had my son hold the bike upright so I could mount. On the bike, I could not touch the ground with both feet and had to hang way off the side of the saddle and balance with one leg. I ride a CRF450 now and no such problem. That bike in the showroom was the tallest modern MX bike I ever sat on, to the point of impracticality for the average guy. I haven't seen this mentioned before, so was a bit surprised.
I meant more like it was cranked inside the crate and they just never touched it…I’m 5’7 and can touch with both feet (granted barely, but that’s been every bike for me😂) with Dunlop MX34 110/90/19s on which are a solid chunk taller than the 100/90/19 Pirellis. As I mentioned running about 102mm of sag it’s not noticeably taller than the Honda. If you check the seat height spec it’s actually the exact same height as the Honda 250
Checking if there are any recent rebates on the TF250x for January. Placed a deposit on one today till I'm able to pick it up but the dealer said the rebate might change from January to February? I don't see any rebates listed on Triumph's website, any idea.
When I was in the dealers showroom last week, they were having a big sale.. I think he said $1k off the retail price.
When I picked my bike up from recall I saw $1k rebate as well. Other dealers seem to be marking them down more than that, hunt around and there’s a good deal to be had somewhere. 24 is same bike as 25 (once recalls are performed) so get a deal
We really liked the Triumph but in the end a 24 GasGas MC250f Factory Edition at $9k was just a better deal, given all the things it has stock that we'd have had to add to the Triumph. I also have a well-earned fear of first model year in anything. Been burned before. Maybe next time.....
Finally got my bike back on Friday. The dealership was right. There are indeed two small tiny bolts/plugs and one has a small hole and the other is solid. You can see the solid one on the outside of the alternator cover. The other one with the hole is on the inside.
Haven't taken it out yet but rode it around the parking lot. Clutch does feel a bit lighter imo.

Triumph discussion starts about 1/2 way
I saw one in my local shop for 7750.00 (plus tax). That was for a 24 (which becomes a 25 after they update it).
Maybe a tech only experienced with street bikes assembled it and put 35 psi in the tires, making it sit a bit higher?

Got my bike back last Friday. Took it out to Perris yesterday. Chain popped off the sprocket and I couldn't figure out why. I had checked the tension in the chain 2 or 3 times before riding. Turns out dealership installed the chain going around the outside of the chain slider instead of through it. I've been trying to be cool with these people but at this point I can safely say:
AVOID TRIUMPH NEWPORT BEACH.
This is twice that I could've been seriously injured because of their fuck ups. This is dangerous. Granted yes I should have checked that but it didn't even cross my mind someone would make that mistake.

I think I’ve seen 1 or 2 Triumphs here at hangtown during this weekend’s LLAQs. There are a LOT of GG MC250f FEs and KTM FEs in the limited classes. Yamahas too.
Picked up a TF250x a few weeks ago. Are items from the Austrian brands able to be used, Fuel filter, oil filters, able to be used? What about a air wash cover? I've saw where Acerbis in Europe has a wash cover and the side frame guards, but nothing else I can find. Seems like Triumph of Cleveland has the most available for this bike, even my local Triumph deal told me to go to them. Just need some oil filter, air filters, and a wash cover.
Oil filter as I understand is to long by a skosh, filter cover nope, Have not cheked the little fuel filter ( I do have several KTM ones - so I'll check when I remember) Frane guards nope. My dealer stocks the oil filter kit and it it priced reasonably. Rear sprocket is supose to be tjhe same. Clutch is similar if not the same as a 2024 KX 250. Rekluse used a KX clutch kit for my Auto. Think that is it - less someone else has discovered more.
That's some clown shi* right there. Can't believe the chain tension would have been even close without serious adjustment on their part.
Yeah it wasn't. Once I actually put the chain through the slider I had to move the rear wheel back almost half an inch. Really kicking myself for not catching it earlier. Too much faith in the "professional" mechanics I guess.
Crazy that they figured out that the parts assembly diagram is incorrect but also couldn’t figure out how to install the chain😂almost certainly 2 different techs for each portion, one just a bit better than the other
I like to imagine that they didn't even notice and when they went to start the bike oil started spraying out all over the mechanics face like in a cartoon.
Sorry but I can't beleive this is true. Do you have any photos of the bike when it was brand new with the chain outside the guide?
It’s not new. It was sent back like that after recall work.
I find that hard to believe but if it was, surely when it was pushed back out of the dealership when it was collected then there would have been a pretty audible noise?
Also, do people not check their bike over or at least lube their chain before riding it?
