I didn't say he was the only one, I said he's getting good interviews.
He gets them because these guys can finally speak their mind and know Cooksey is right on a lot of issues in the sport and feel the same way.
With out a "players" union, all sports treat the athletes just like SMX do.
Put together a union/riders association, like in the NFL, and watch the racers become partners and get their fair share.

What does everyone think about his "Racing Yellow" idea?
I think it's absolutely stupid. It undermines the sport by resetting the race. This is meant to be a sport to respect the best racers. The "racing yellow" would be good for the sport in an exhibition, monster truck, bs kind of way. It also undermines the idea that this is a fair sport that has rules and may the best man win. I think it's incredibly stupid. I get it as a "business move" but it goes against every instinct of anyone that has ever raced anything. Total donkey brain, money grubbing idea, IMO. I'd rather talk about what RJ said than drama surrounding the interviewer.
I'm not sure there is a clear answer on the restarts. But it's clear that some ideas are bad, and the yellow flag halfway through a race is dumb. It would be hated by everyone and confuse the general fan, and not fair to riders that gained a lead.
But it was a great interview overall where RJ talks about a lot of different things. It's too bad some won't watch it because of who interviewed Ricky.
Either way, if you grew up in motocross in the 80s or are interested in that era, it's a great interview.

I dunno. I know vitards don't like him (though I'm not privy to all the history behind the hate, but whatever) but he's putting his nose down and speaking what he feels is his "truth", love it or hate it. It would seem some of the more well-established personalities are finding themselves nodding their heads at him. Will we see more riders come around speak with him? We'll see, but I personally think he seems alright, though a little dramatic at times.

For good content you are better off listening to Gypsy tales, or Daniel Blair IMO. Even Hopper is better than Cooksey, and he is pretty hard to watch too.
I think you will find most riders don't want anything to do with the guy.

I will say one thing: Matthes has been inside the ropes in racing for a very long time, working as a factory mechanic as part of his resume and he is pretty in with basically all riders in the paddock.
Cooksey? Nope.
He is nothing beyond his megaphone of rumor and unsubstantiated BS.
Matthes may be a fat fucker, but he is a lot closer to the pulse than Cooksey, who seems to think the pulse is somewhere deep in his ass.

I used to listen to him, then he got all weird during the outdoors last summer (too much drama) and that got boring.
He has broken a few stories over the past year that seemed like the “mainstream” media would like to cover up or ignore.
On the fence over him-but for sure he doesn’t hurt my feeling like a handful of you in here..
Having RJ, Langston, Plessinger on gives him some credibility you can’t deny..
