Just get a 25 clutch hub. Has 3x the oil holes as 23-24 hub. Also same amount as Hinson inner hub.
Ok so I rode Monday indoors and I’ll say the bike definitely feels better especially on inside ruts where precision is key, I kinda had a ice skate feeling before If that’s the right term and now I personally think it feels more planted and stable. I can’t find any negatives at the moment.
Sorry I forgot to answer all of your question, if I could take one thing off that list that I didn’t notice much improvement it would be the xtrig triple clamps, pro circuit now sells colored end caps from us vet guys bitching to Mitch long enough. Enjoy!
I drilled out the stock clutch hub, it's light work- I wouldn't recommend buying a 25 part for that. If you're gonna buy one, go for Hinson or Rekluse right away.
I can't say how effective the mod is, I usually get about 20-30h out of a clutch since I don't use it too much and I'm currently at 5h with the mod. If it's going to last just as long or even longer, it will be a couple of months until I can give an update.
Every once in a while I get a tiny bit of slipping on the stock clutch, and drilling the extra holes didn't change that. So it's definitely no silver bullet and I doubt it will prolong my current clutchs life by a lot.

Awesome! Thanks for the response!
well I did a vet thing...got a steal on some enzo a kit forks and shock, xtrig clamps, phds, changed the springs front and rear for my weight but left the pro valving in from the previous rider. and all I have to say is wow. I was skeptical it would be worth it for someone my speed and weekend warrior but the change was more then i expected and in different areas then i thought.
I imagined it would be like riding around the track on pillows but it wasnt. It was a little bit better COMFORT wise(entry and exit bumps, track chop) then my revalved stock KYB. The real change was noticed on the bottoming resistance and the comfort on jump landings. I jumped to flat and purposely came up short on a few things to try and get the forks to bottom. I couldnt the rubber marker ring never got closer then 1.5-2in from the bottom. So it improved comfort and the performance for o shit moments was night and day different.
Id say the biggest change though was in the cornering, the best way to describe it was the front wheel felt like it had its own motor digging the tire into the ground and dumbbells on the forks. It felt so planted no matter if it was flat, muddy, rutted, blue groove.(yes this track has all those in the span of 1 day lol) The amount of feel and confidence in the front end is something i never felt before and wasnt expecting. but the bike was still light and flickable i could carve tighter mid corner if I wanted.
EDIT** yes i know the stickers say FC, there was some drama which i wont get into but the internals and all work were done by enzo
Pics cus, who doesnt like pics
Stop it. That's something my wallet didn't need me to read. Lol
I did AKit also and will say my body doesn’t hurt as much from casing jumps. lol for sure a game changer!
lol my bad I don’t think I’d ever cough up the 5000+ it costs to try it if I didn’t know and probably wouldn’t have ever done more then a revalve but now after having them every bike here on out is going to have to get 5k in suspension…I’ll try and get lap times next weekend but it felt like an easy few seconds was gained.
Also other people may be able to get that pillow top comfort… the valving in mine is set up for an AMA pro I’m vet C class but going 16 clicks out from full stiff 😂 is comfy and great performance
Did u get the shock as well?
Yup
Sexy…so do they block off the bottom(stock) rebound clicker because the tri adjuster has compx2 and rebound on it correct? The item sets ups I’ve seen have a different bottom mount that gets rid of that part of the lower shaft…just curious how yours is set up
Just clicked 72 hours and did my first hare scramble at Horn Rapids in WA this weekend. Seeing all the clutch comments I'm laughing because my stock clutch has held up at a pro level (I don't abuse it) with no problems whatsoever. Second top end has 14 hours and feels great. Thinking about having ENZO go through front and rear after getting the $%!+ beat out of me the entire weekend. Still running all stock at 170lbs.
Couple of good starts with the scoop tire against the regular AA guys (wheelie for style points). Got into the lead until my forearms turned into literal bricks 12 minutes in. Those off-road boys are gnarly! I think I'll stick to my 12 minute motos😂
Honestly that’s a good question, I’m not sure!
That’s my home track! I too prefer the 12 minute sprints lol
Bottom one is your normal rebound adjuster, top one is a high speed rebound adjuster. I didn’t notice much of a difference adjusting the top one a few clicks either way.
I've gotten to ride there a few times now. I wish the moto track wasn't a slop fest last weekend. It's so much fun when the sand is just right. I have some family in Desert Aire so I try to use every excuse to go visit them so I can slip away and rip a few motos!
Pit Row
Another update from me. Finally got around to trying the FCP race cups.
The bike is now perfect and is miles better than the KTMs I have ridden for years.
As I mentioned previously when I first got my YZ (2024) I was extremely uncomfortable on it.
Essential (in my opinion):
- You need to let the bike bed in for 10 hours on a track with decent jumps & bumps
- You need the 2025 stock yamaha engine mounts and shock knuckle (this will enable you to go down a spring rate)
- Keep an open mind in terms of spring rate, it took me 3 springs to become happy
Optional:
- FCP race cups (helps with the wiggle on braking)
- If taller, -5 -5 footpegs
- Change gearing to free up shock movement
Everything else I’ve purchased is just so it looks nice on the stand
I decided to try a mod that Star has been doing. I’m not sure if this is how they do it. I used Time-Serts and installed them into both sides of the frame to now have 4 bolts instead of 2 long bolts and nuts.

Preach
I keep hoping someone will come out with a cheaper version of the FCP race cups. They sound like they work well, but man they are pricey!
The seat does work well.
Another notch for the ol stocker yz! I do however wish to do A kit because i definitely couldn't do everything my mind wanted me to do at race pace without bottoming in g out sections and steep corner entrys.
1st place - nice!
Properly set up suspension should use all of the travel and bottom out once or twice a lap. If its not its to stiff.
you got to ride the daytona supercross track? thats awesome congrats on the win
My 60 hour '24 YZ450F has been running pretty odd lately and I am not sure which direction to go. Hoping to gather some ideas as to why from someone who may have had something similar happen. Here goes...
What it's doing:
When the bike gets hot during longer motos, it starts to run really rough. The engine feels really heavy on decel, almost like my foot is dragging the rear brake or I'm in a gear lower than what I am, and it feels dirty on acceleration like a poorly jetted carb used to feel. Down low it feels like it's struggling to go, but then does eventually go leading to a bike that I feel like I can’t really trust. It's an odd sensation to be sure.
Things I've done:
The first day I noticed it I did the following as soon as I got home…
- Drained fuel and replaced with new 93. I always run pump gas
- Changed oil
- Checked coolant. Not low and not dirty.
- Checked valves. Perfectly in spec
- New spark plug
- Swapped air filter (it was clean and not overly oiled. I replace it every ride if needed anyhow)
- Inspected and cleaned ECU and surrounding connectors (they were clean and corrosion free)
- New Hinson clutch plates/fibers 🤷♂️
- Swapped out TPS per a suggestion from a buddy and adjusted accordingly.
I have ridden the bike a few times and nothing I have done so far has had an effect. The bike always runs great for the first part of the day. Bike runs perfect during short warm up motos. Runs great during longer, mellow motos. When I try putting in heaters though during a LitPro national, after about 5 laps, things go south pretty quickly.
I had a buddy ride it on one occasion (up and down a straight away, in crocs lol) and he thinks it's all in my head. It’s not!
I haven’t tried a fuel filter or pump so I suppose that’s next, but any guidance from folks who may have had a similar issue would be fantastic. Thank you 🙏
