IMO that rule needs to change.   If 90% of the race is completed, call it a race.   Not that i'm an Anstie fan, but man he got screwed with that.

Love Kitchen, but just end the race if it’s red flagged with 7 seconds left. Like what are we doing?

7 Seconds left on the clock with a 6 second lead. Thats outrageous to do a staggered start. Just call the race or give similar gaps. 

its too bad gates can't be dropped individually digitally. would be great to line them back up and drop gates one at a time in order and u could build the delay into the drops. 

With 7 seconds, its 99% of the clock burned.

If there’s no maximum time elapsed before a staggered restart is triggered, what happens if the race is stopped when they’re on the last lap?

Red flags in Motorsport always have the field pulled back close ,  it’s part of the game

I always wonder why the lead rider in a staggered start does not hold for a second on the green flag. Everyone would flinch and then the lead rider could take off.  If the second place rider were to jump past the chalk line, that would be a penalty.   Not very practical but I'd love to see someone do it.

Kitchen nailed that restart. Seems most just roll forward but he was on the gas full charge. Even though that was the case Max held him off and I believe he would’ve kept the lead had he took the inside in the sand corner. I’m sure he was flustered but he gave that away 

I was hoping Max would have sold a dummy when the flag dropped. Jump for a few inches without crossing the line. Cause the rest to jump then go. 

Argue the details out in the ama truck afterwards. 

I keep waiting for someone to do that.  Make the riders behind jump/reset and then roost them off the line.  

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the rules.

The AMA made a bad judgement call imo. They should have let the race clock get to zero, and then red flagged it. Or get MacAdoo to the side of the track and continue the race. He obviously didn’t mind laying around, why not give him an extra minute or so?

they changed it 18 months ago, and any race team should have read the rule book

...I would say any significant gap within the top 10 needs to be given back. 

It would not be hard at all to implement this.     The time does not need to be perfect...close enough is good enough. 

This was Ansties race....Levi was clearly beaten.     I will never see it any other way. 

And the tv crew or at least some advisor to the crew should also read it. Pretty sad when RC is saying he doesn’t know what is going on out there…
