My best guess is he has giant foot peg shaped bruise to back of calf but nothing is structurally damaged.
Could be a small injury, nothing broken is how I would read it. He won't disclose small things, especially now. Tonight's riding will be telling, he might be a bit off if it's minor and be back to form next week, if not it might be bigger than he's letting on.
