I honestly don't see why Kenny would leave P/I Suzuki? He has a great thing going there and always seems happy. He gets to race where and when he wants and doesn't seem to be under any pressure.

IIRC Kenny on Pulp mentioned he is loyal to the main sponsor brands that he has been with since the beginning. While it was reported that Troy Lee would be ok with other gear brands for the right guy, the big hold up would be Red Bull. It would not make sense to give up a lifetime of Red Bull representation and all that comes with it. IMO

There was a rumor a year or two that RB was looking to move on and was willing to end his contract a year early. I'd imagine his renewed success has made him more desirable to sponsors and RB, but it's not a given that he can just re-up forever.

True. Typically those career long Red Bull athletes have been ambassadors post career.

He has had a Red Bull lid since his super mini days when he was #941. That was 05 or 06. He is a 20 year dedicated Red Bull athlete.

Why would he have to give up Red Bull to join TLD?

Does Ducati not have the Monster sponsorship anymore?

I just refreshed my memory on the TLD launch at A1.

It is Monsterless. I know the factory effort was Monster backed in EU. Maybe that ommission makes Kenny more likely to join. Maybe they dropped the Monster for him?

After listening to the Gypsy Tales interview I doubt Kenny will ever drop Fox or Red Bull.

If Ducati and Monster come up with long money, Roczen will take it. He’s got a family to think about, and not a lot of years left. It would make a fascinating story.

Cairoli was a Red Bull guy for almost that long as well, from 07-2023 or something before the Ducati deal.

Was he a Red Bull athlete or defacto through the KTM factory effort?

The AMA MX racers I know of that are red bull athletes without being part of a Red Bull sponsored team are Stew, Kenny, and the Lawrences.

Interesting that they don't have Hymas on that list.

Cairoli was with Red Bull when he rode Yamaha 250s in MX2. This pic is from ‘07.

Ken shouldnt do it unless Ducati pays him a buttload of $$$. Ken only wants to ride SX, and at Ducati he would be a test mule as the bike hasnt had SX time yet. He feels super comfee on the Zook, he would end up missing it for sure. Stay with SUZUKI. Besides the Pipes are super cool, I used to race with them alot back in the day at Hollister. RIP.

If it wasn't for Fox I'd say he would be a strong candidate for Ducati. Left field idea, but maybe Ducati signs Sexton and/or Hunter...

That's a weird breakdown. The Lawrences are listed as both SX & MX athletes, but Kenny is only under MX, which he doesn't even race a full time anymore, and Hymas is only under SX when he's had far more success in MX.

100% false. RB is solid with Kenny and vice versa

I expect to see a former SX Champ…as in 450 Champ and a VERY solid “up & coming” 450 rider on the TLD Ducatis.

Why would new manufacturer hire someone who hasn't been all in for SX and MX? Seems like it would be hard to launch a new bike without being all in for both.
