After putting mine together yesterday I don’t see how it could be made to open faster on the 2020 kx450. The 2 cables wrap around opposite sides of the tube and meet at the bottom. Would be interesting to see how someone could make that one open faster

We make a CAM 20% faster for the YZ/KX models.
Hey 902moto

First .... I'm legitimately interested in purchasing your product for my 2021 Yamaha YZ 250F. I'm "On the fence" right now so here's my questions.

1) Have updates been made since this thread was started in 2020 where cutting my handlebars is still required?
(I just spent top dollar on my first Fast Flexx bars and LOVE them and my current set up .... so am a bit reluctant to cut them)

2) what made me respond was your comment about 20% faster cam for YZ models. So if I'm understanding correctly that with your product .... when I twist the throttle it initiates 20% quicker then a standard OEM throttle? (meaning if I'm on the starting gate and hypothetically every rider twists the throttle at the EXACT same time .... your product would react 20% faster then OEM throttles?)
Now that I definitely would be interested in ... if twisting your throttle reacts even a 1/4 second faster then my current OEM one .... 21 turns on a track twisting a 1/4 second faster out of the turn adds up.

3) Now .... something that has me a bit nervous is the claims of it being "Too Smooth" and increasing
"Whiskey Throttle" chances. I'm a 50+ Vet that just moved up to "Intermediate" class .... Is it basically once the learning curve is over and I get used to it .... I have a "Works" factory trick azz item that has 20% quicker cam response and less friction for reduced arm pump on my throttle hand?

Thanks in advance for you response

I think what they mean is that they cut 20% of the throttle rotation for same throttle actuation. Like you only turn throttle 80% of what you currently do to achieve 100% throttle.

I could be totally off-base though.

Word of caution on this product.  I ordered the ZRT throttle tube and it arrived missing the bearing and totally unusable.  When I returned it (with their approval) they would not refund the entire cost.  I was charged a re-stocking fee and double charged for shipping both ways, which I had paid for myself!  The whole thing cost me $96 and lots of aggravation.

I can’t speak to your experience nate, but my ZRT has been an amazing and indestructible part for two years running now with no special attention.  The owner was also very helpful to me when I had a few questions regarding installation . Hope you get this resolved
