Haven't heard a single peep - or tweet - since he pulled out of moto 1 at Milville. Any update?

Thinking about how bad the neck really hurts and how it's not so easy this year and how his championship run is done. Reed is racing for titles at this point, if there's no shot at the title there is no Reed.
Reed 2011.... Aussie SX Champion and 4th in AMA SX. No outdoor ride.

Did he tweak his neck in practice or during the beak? He does wear a brace which is good. I hope he recovers and has at least one good race outdoors before the end. Then again, if he decides to ride off into the sunset, then more power to him.

Chad has made himself a legend in the sport of motocross already. He can leave today with his head held high. We all have many fond memories of his career to hang on to.

Thank you Chad for your perserverance, dedication, and inspiration. You changed many young boys lives for the better.

Hate to say it, but I could really see Reed walking away from SX/MX after this Outdoor series. He (and all the MX fans out there) are now starting to see that Dungey is no fluke -- he's going to make winning really, really hard for everyone else. Add Stewart, Villopoto, Pourcel and Canard in that mix.. he's probably not very inspired to keep racing.

He races for titles, and when theres 3-5 guys that are as good/better than him and are consistent, his odds aren't as good as they used to be.

i agree he and the kawi aren't really made for each other like the suzuki, but i don't doubt he's hurt.

remember the detroit crash? that was nasty and he had a cracked scapula. dude can ride through the pain so obviously this one is bothering him pretty bad.

Ya I don't understand the hate on Chad and never will. The dude has more moxy than most. It's obvious he and the Kawi don't get along but I don't think he had much choice in the matter. But to question his heart?? The dude has fought through more pain than most over the years. I would speculate we never know half the injuries that any pro racer has, and it seems like Chad likes to play close to the vest as well. Remember the stomach ailments???

I do think Chad has one foot out the door though... Too bad, I'll hate to see him go. Definetely one of my favorites.

according to Kenny Watson he got an std from a hooker at the mgm and can't ride a dirt bike due to an outbreak....

I remember how he looked when he was at A1 for the first time on a 250 (450 class now). I though it was MC. But way faster!

Hs style has changed a little with the thump today though.

Agreed, I was there that night if you are talking about when he rode west coast 250-450 and east coast lites.

I became a fan of him that night just by watching his riding style! Wasn't he top 5 in points when the races went back east by the way? I read something on the matter saying he wanted to ride all the races in the 250 two stroke class but could only get a ride with YOT in the lites class.

I bet he still has 1-2 years ( maybe more ? ) in SX. The MX thing.......he isn't getting along with that KX at all! Looked twice as good on the Suzuki and Yami by far !

I hope he sticks around for a while longer. Especially in the Sx stuff. Almost always towards the front.

Was there any clarification on his injury or why he pulled out? I don't remember them saying that he went down but he could of. There just isn't much news I've heard of.
