As I watch Deeg’s riding and style it reminds a lot of Barcia when he was dominating the 250 class. He did that through obviously being fast as well as being way over aggressive when it isn’t needed. That style didn’t translate real well to the 450 class. Time will tell with Deeg’s but that’s my prediction at this point from what I see.

It's weird because when BamBam was at his peak in the Lites/250 class he was riding a big bike a lot during the week to train/practice on. Pourcel did the same thing first and I remember Donna (Justin's mom).  talking about it.  BamBam has also had a lot of knee injuries which has impacted his career too.

I’ve been thinking this since Haiden’s rookie year

I didn’t think about that part of it, but very true.

Funny you say that because it didn’t hit me until I watched last nights’ race. But once I noticed it, it was blatantly obvious.

He’s already better on a 250 outdoors then Bam Bam ever was but not as good at SX. But to be fair Bam Bam has won10 450 races so it translated pretty good.

Barcia has better results then Deegs so far in SX. And I would argue Barcia was against tougher competition at the time.

Yeah Barcia did great in 2011 and was even better in 2012 with 6 wins in  Lites East class. He got the 1E both those years.

2012 was a stacked class on the East. Look at some of the names.

I don't think this is completely wrong. Haiden I would say has all timer potential outdoors. But Barcia was against tougher guys for sure. Dungey, Canard, Tomac, Roczen, Pourcel just really tough

I don't think being related to Barcia is a good thing

But the riders in Barcia's era are hitting you different because of what they went on to do.

Deegan is racing against riders that may go on to win a lot of races and Championships. The point is, we don't KNOW.

We know Deegan is really fast and really gritty. Beaumer is very fast, Cole Davies, ect.

No matter who Deegan is racing, they would never look as good on paper as the guys listed that was in Barcia's time.

Sure Ill get a lot of hate for this, but I don’t care.  I see him as a slightly more successful Mike Alessi. He’s great out doors.Ok in SX, west is very weak this year and he’s had 1 win. Won’t be shocked if the hype is gone by end of his first full 450 season.

The first time I heard him hold it wide open over a triple it immediately gave me flashbacks to bam bam’s rookie year when he would be catching the leaders

I thought the Jmart 2.0 analogy someone made last week was pretty accurate. I could absolutely see him winning a 450 MX title. Sx title, nope

Yeah revving the shit out of the bike for no reason and knocking people down for no reason.

There is a reason why he was riding with Kenny lately trying to learn throttle control.

Tomac and Chase don't knock people down!!

"He's had 1 win"

Yes, this season,..And how many races did he let pass by before getting the "one win" ?

Two,...two races.

Justin Barcia’s mom is Lorraine, not Donna.  She’s a great lady.

Yeah, I think he will. I don't see a premier sx title in his future. I think he should stay on 250's for sx next year, too.

Their styles really aren't similar at all. Especially Eli on a 250
