They can't. The simply truth is, they don't like him so they are going to amplify everything he says and cry about it, which is ironic because Haiden's  worse crime is being a bit immature. Yet a bunch of adults with keyboards throw tantrums about him online.  It's great entertainment.

They take it hook ,line and sinker... and allow him to get under their skin lol.  Grown men writing long paragraph rants about him.  The Deegan's are sure doing something right.  Getting a lot of attention.

I even saw a comment ripping him for jumping in on Cole's podium interview to congratulate/razz him. "He's gotta be the center of attention!" Or he was stoked for his young teammate who he rides with all week? Jesus. If he thanks God on the podium, he's called a fake Christian. People are going to sperg out no matter what he does

I understand why some people might have said "He's gotta be the center of attention!"

It was Davies' first professional podium, so why not let him have his moment?

He could have waited 30 seconds before dumping the Monster can and celebrate with him. Instead he chose to do it while he was doing his live interview.

Is it a big deal, IMO, no, but it's easy to see why some would think he needs to be the center of attention after what he did in that moment.

I can’t believe just how deep Deegan is in some of your heads. It’s unhealthy to hate on a recently turned 19 year old that the majority of you have never met.

1st, the same usual suspects bitch, whine and complain that alllllllll the riders are “robots” & their podium speeches are canned and boring. But! As soon as someone steps outside the stale as hell “norm” that they were bitching and whining and complaining about…?

They clutch their pearls and sound like the old lady’s on The View.

The internet…social media…typical modern fandom…

Waaaay too predictable. 🤣

Bingo...And if anyone really wants to know the best take on a rider like Deegan, listen to the accolades given to Deegan by guys who have raced in the sport for a long time and are winners of many races and/or Championships, like James Stewart, Chad Reed, Ryan Villopoto and more. They are on podcasts speaking candidly about how phenomenal in talent, grit and determination this kid is.

Not a single criticism about how he interviews or any jabs at his brash style.

The few dings they may give him are quickly dismissed with a smile because of his age. It's almost like they know what they are talking about.

I thought it was a cool moment.    HD showing support and happiness for a teammate.

People see what they want.    I see a young and excitable kid being caught up in a moment....

I knew right away the DDS sufferers would be all over him for it.   Last week, the same clowns were all saying Davies was in Deegans head because he was faster at the test track or some shit like that.         The kid can't win with those who are jealous/petty and are looking for anything to tear him down.  All to fill that great big hole in themselves, which will never happen.

I'd have a good laugh if Juju got all nice guy "gee golly schucks" and praised Deegan super hard after beating him. Deegan wants to be a caricature of a bad guy... So be the exact opposite.

I don’t see any true hate in these posts - some just don’t care for the side show and that’s ok we can all have different opinions.  Everyone is going to be ok because it’s only entrainment - we are not getting paid for our opinions.

This is not me offering my personal opinion on Deegan's behavior or personality. But, why do we have to have this same exact conversation every time Deegan acts like... himself? We all know this is who he is. It shouldn't be surprising to anyone at this point. You either find it entertaining, or you think it's unbearable and want to mute the TV. I think we all formed our opinions of him long ago. The constant need for many of you people to repeat your opinion every single week is just kind of weird.

I am a big fan of Deegan’s racing. I thought he was going to prove to be overhyped from the social media stuff when he was ready to turn pro, but he wasn’t. He’s a far better and faster racer than I thought he would be, and I’m glad that I was wrong back then.

But I definitely wish that he’d tone down some of the silly antics he’s prone to. I know that he’s been trained for many years that controversy and conflict helps get clicks and thus revenue from his social media sources, but I think that if he were a little bit more humble and started thinking WWDD (what would Dungey do?) on the podium, he’d have an even broader fan base and even more interest. I don’t think he needs to be as completely bland as Dungey, but just about 25% of Dungey’s humility would go a LONG way for him.

Even if he never changes a thing, I will likely still root for him to come through the pack with that win or die trying effort!!!!

After listening the the press conference it seems you get a little insight into why they brought Craig in to train with Deegan. Sounds like it was awkward training with another rider, but who? We heard in the off season Davies was the fastest at times. Obviously I don’t know shit and just a guess.

I understand that the interview as always was most important, but wasn't there a race in there somewhere ?

You doubled down on dumb. To reiterate in terms that even you might understand,..If the things that I've said are "rocket science" to you, that's your shortage, not mine. You're telling everyone the length of your school bus without actually saying it.

Deegan is more than likely an extremely sensitive, under socialized, and emotionally fragile little boy. He’s been coddled his entire life and was raised with the expectation to be the absolute best at what he does.

I don’t dislike him for the drama. I don’t dislike him because he’s good either. I dislike him because at the end of the day, he’s just a little prick about it.

Maybe that will go away as he gets older and has more exposure to the world. But he’ll never live in the real world, so who knows.

For all the talk about his mental toughness in the past, he seems a bit fragile of late, and feeling the pressure to back up the talk.

Looking back at Juju after putting him on the ground, and then almost throwing it away the heat a couple corners later.

Juju seems to be living rent free in his head right now, and now has to fabricate supposed disrespect.

It would be cool if he was just himself and didn’t try so hard to stir it up when he wins or go ultra humble when he doesn’t. It’s not a YouTube video, dramatization is not needed.

Haiden Deegan existing and being himself has zero impact on my life. And if anything, I enjoy his antics because it gives us something to talk about.

He’s still a little prick for the reasons I already stated.

Last night was an extension of who he’s been his entire life. He dominates the field, after objectively being not at his best for the first two weeks, and all he can conjure up is talking shit about someone. He barely manages to answer the question JT asked him, and even still, he doesn’t really answer it. His self centered and sensitive mind has conjured up stories about Beaumer, Kitchen and who knows else; and he’s using that to fuel his fragile little ego. And on live television, he can’t help but let it all out while sounding like a unsocialized kid. Which he is.

I personally dislike that. You may not.
