He's cried a few times. It gets out of hand with the crazy fans and the double standards. He's cried and threw more fits than jett. Im not some super jett fan either hes done his fair share of things that disappointed me. One thing I notice different between them though is jett seems genuine and like he truly means good. Where deegan just wants to stir shit, be a dick, and acts like he's owed. Not saying jett hasn't done the same its just over the top with deegan.20250120 212459.jpg?VersionId=qF

Had to have been close to the great US vs. Aussie Crybaby battle when El Hombre picked on Jett last year right?

Love or hate ‘em….both Deegs and Jett make fans feel big emotions.

Thats for sure and its ridiculous how some bash one guy then say stop picking on the other for the same thing. Let's just hold all of them to the same standard. I was a deegan fan years ago and just got turned off. I was a jett fan when he first came over and got turned off. From my pov jett trys to be a good guy and I dont think he means harm with some comments that come out wrong. With deegan its non stop drama the same crap over and over wwe stuff. Just last Saturday hes trying to mess with juju in qualifying. If someone did that to him we would hear about it asap and his rabid fans would be sending death threats. Then after the race his demeanor on the podium and words. The excuse hes just a kid is outplayed. Juju is younger so is Cole and they don't act like that.

Cool thread, BrO.

Guaranteed, you've never worked as hard in your whole long life than Haiden has on his career. He's only 19 years old, so the smack talk, and all that stuff is what teenaged dudes do. He paid respect to the guys who beat him both weekends.

I don't see any other teenagers in the sport doing it.

What do you mean by this?  Do you mean he has to fill Brian's shoes?  If that is the case, they're pretty small shoes to fill being that Brian only won one 125 SX race in his career.  Haiden has far surpassed anything the Princess did in the sport.

What bullshit. Hes done nothing for the sport unless you count raising Haiden and promoting his YouTube channel. I would argue FMX has been a net negative for the sport not a positive.

The peak era of 2000s FMX with the X Games and Pastrana + Deegan made tons of new people interested in motocross and supercross. You can have your opinion boomer but the fact is Brian brought tons of awareness to the sport, made a global brand, and nowadays is actually a super good dude. You had to be there at the LA coliseum in 03’ when TP and Brian did 360s. That was peak 2000’s culture.

I’d agree there’s pressure from on him from Star to win the championship, but the same could be said for Julian, Jo, Garrett, or even Mosiman in the sense that there’s pressure on him to return to being a contender. Most of the pressure that Haiden is dealing with is self inflicted because of his own comments and lack of results. He’s riding fast and well, but he’s truly got a fight on his hands with people he didn’t expect to battle with going into the West. It’s gonna be interesting to see how he deals with this kind of pressure

Are you sure that people who enjoyed FMX then got hooked on SX or MX?  What I've noticed is the general public now think that SX is FMX. The usual comment is "Is that where they do the backflips?  It pisses me off, FMX is bollocks not a proper motorsport.

Not a single person before the season on podcasts, preview shows, etc gave the West any chance of being exciting and it’s so nice to see them all be wrong. On an incredibly different note, I wonder if Drew Adams is gonna be able to mix it up with Deegan if he takes Ty’s spot

This season is a coming of age for him in a way most wouldn’t have thought, he will finally learn some humility and I think he will look back at the end of a successful career and have this SX season to thank for it

I think you might be right. He's definitely going to learn a lot from how this year has started. Or at least he should do.

I’m a fan of the kid, but I also agree it’s time to knock it off with the antics. At this point, he’s gotten into his own head and it’s clearly causing him to make mistake after mistake. I like character but there’s no point to it if you’re all talk. Juju has got the edge this time around.

Have you ever been scrolling social media and you see some politically or socially divisive and pointless click-bait post from some pitiful and unrecognized "source"?  This thread has that same feeling.  I don't even care if the guy was crying, the fact that someone made a thread about it, is plain lame no matter who it is.

A lot of people forget what it was like to be 19

Alice Cooper reminds us:

Lines form on my face and hands
Lines form from the ups and downs
I'm in the middle without any plans
I'm a boy and I'm a man

[Chorus 1]
I'm eighteen, and I don't know what I want
Eighteen, I just don't know what I want
Eighteen, I gotta get away
I gotta get out of this place, I'll go runnin in outer space, oh yeah

[Verse 2]
I got a baby's brain and an old man's heart
Took eighteen years to get this far
Don't always know what I'm talkin' about
Feels like I'm livin' in the middle of doubt

[Chorus 2]
'Cause I'm eighteen
I get confused everyday
Eighteen, I just don't know what to say
Eighteen, I gotta get away

[Bridge]
Lines form on my face and my hands
Lines form on the left and right
I'm in the middle, the middle of life
I'm a boy and I'm a man

Haters is a bit harsh for people who are just tired of the circus. Every rider has haters, but the deegan fan club is the worst. He could hit someone in a wheelchair on the sidewalk drunk driving and you would be one of the first in here saying the person in the wheelchair shouldn't of been there. Just like you crying when he doesn't get brought up in the other threads and you're questioning why and calling the author a hater. Its almost like you're trolling but your serious.

Maybe just maybe putting your kid so high on the YT pedestal since 3-4 isn’t a great idea.   Talk about pressure the kid may very well crack…

This is a big part of it.  Deegs persona is built around his fan base. He’s been doing things and saying things for attention since a child and for the first time he seems to be facing adversity. he’s probably never really learned who he is as a person because everything up to this point has been for external gratification.

Yup.    No real controversy from the racing this weekend so the Vital hate wagon has to manufacture something to vent their poison at.

Same shit, different day....

Do you know what annoying him: Cole Davies, 17 year old rookie showing speed with less recklessness and more controlled techniques. It's feels uncomfortable when, you are the big next thing by the US media but when it all comes together a new kid is so damn close on your heels.

I mean...I get what you're saying but let's be real.  If Haiden never wins another dirt bike race he still won't have to work a real job a day in his life, due to the YouTube/Social Media/Brand the Deegans have built.

So yes, it's probably put more pressure on him but it's also set him up for long term success financially.

But did FMX help sell more dirt bikes and parts and gear and tires and oil etc. etc. ??

Growing the sport doesn't necessarily mean dudes racing moto week in and week out.

Most bikes and parts that are sold will never see a moto track, far more trail riders and free riders out there than folks who want to sit around the moto track all weekend to get 30 minutes of ride time.

I dont see anything that stands out other than typical vital. If this was about hunter or jett you would be posting memes and pictures agreeing with the original post laughing. This is all brought on by his actions. What he said pre season, all his shit talk, and his track antics. I do feel bad for him because this is how he was raised he was taught this is the right way. If you put yourself in the spotlight and have a loud mouth for attention you best believe people are going to have something to say especially the way things have gone. Again I can't really put all this on him as someone said earlier he probably doesn't know who he truly is. Following him from a young age it was the same crap over and over. But if he had good people around him they would say you can't act like that and it would of changed. That's just my point of view and how I was raised anyhow.

If I put myself at that age and in that position I would have had a meltdown too. Probably even broken something out of frustration. Just shows how bad these guys want it, whether it’s Deegan or someone else. I can respect the hell outta that.

This is a rare mature take here on vital - HD is going to continue to have teaching moments like this, he will prevail, but they come with the territory. Working your way toward being a champion, a real champion, has growing pain, without the setbacks and the pain that comes with, you cannot become what he wants to become.

Some are just more out with it, and some handle these moments in private.

Can you point me to the "vicious hatred" in this thread? Or the "Vital hate wagon" that "manufactured something to point their poison at"? That seems awfully over-dramatic. OP had a bad take and most of the posters in this thread called him out for it, calm down man.

That is the meat of it.     Like him or not,  kid has desire and has earned where he is at through hard work and sacrifice.    Imagine those teen years of your life you've given up for a very lofty goal with no guarantees of success.      Yet the small minded overlook all of this and tear the kid down.

I don't care for his "social disease media" persona.....    but I am a fan of watching the pure talent.
