That has got to be the most backhanded complement ever lol
"Congratulations to him though!"

Seems more like the norm to me. Picking up right where he left off now that he’s back to 100%.
Will be interested to see how their bikes look going forward.
Eli’s Yamaha looks incredible. Really stiff and settled but obviously lots of grip and could go anywhere he wanted.
In comparison, Jett was searching for edges or cushions and trying to turning down a lot, suggest frame stiffness and lack of edge grip.
What will be interesting too is, the Honda guys said they loved that new frame outdoors. I think they’ll be happier in the softer/ruttier conditions out east… and Eli hasn’t been as good on the Yamaha in that condition since the new version in 23.
Congratulations to you also, on a great observation. It's not exactly "back-handed" so much as a two part message.
I am sincerely happy that Tomac won. And I do also think that it will "end up" being a historic marker race for Tomac.
Meaning you don't think he'll win again?
Well, so far I was wrong about this. Props to Eli for stepping it up and not only showing he has the speed of Jett, but can beat him.
Awesome for Eli. For sure he's got more wins in him this year.
As for Jett...I think someone beating him straight up in this class is the best thing for him.
I don't remember the last time an elite rider was starting to fade in their finishes and toward the end was back on top or at least in contention to win races and/or a championship. It's really impressive to watch. A lot of racing left and I have to say (even as a huge tomac fan) the hondas looked awful race one and a little better race 2. Jett will surely be improving and it is going to be so much fun to watch.
Regardless on whether he hangs the rest of the way or not I think I agree with you. That was greatness. There are no guarantees in this great sport. Who would have thought after a3 in 2001 that MC would never win again for instance. Yet, in a year where Carmichael won 13 straight, there was a race where Mcgrath caught him, passed him, and led him home. Greatness. Don't take anything for granted.
This isn't saying Jett will smoke everyone the rest of the way at all and I hope not, but remember to enjoy the moment rather than getting hyped over whats still just hypothetical. Ill never stop armchair racing about the future but I think we have to take things in more
Let’s get to it…
Will A2 be a 3rd week of Eli beating The Kid?
Yes no maybe.
This season is going to be wild.
This feels like about a 50/50…. But I’d lean towards yes. I think Chase will rebound and win again with Eli and Jett fighting over 2nd. Eli seems to be 💯% with his bike and Jett isn’t yet. What happens when Jett gets sorted out? Races even better than what we’ve seen…. We can only hope.
After watching the San Diego replay for a 4th time. Jett's bike is off only about 5%. Those guys were pushing so much faster than the rest of them. They dropped Webb 18 seconds with 9:35+1 to go. And to be honest..I don't think that 5% gets Jett the win over Tomac. I think Jett rode his bike as fast as he could without crashing. He had a few sketchy moments in the whoops for sure and tiptoed around those flat turns. If he had any more in the tank, he would've passed him. But he didn't. Tomac weathered the storm and is now the most confident rider in the 450 class. Add the red plate, and this title will be insane this year once Chase gets up there for the 3 way battle we need.
this prolly the 1st time I agreed with u 👍🏾 I fuck with this assessment
Bit like Reedy in 2014. Let’s just hope Tomac’s performance doesn’t end like that one.
Pit Row
2023 ET3 is about to wrap up his 3rd SX title and out of nowhere pops an ankle tendon. not to take away from #18 incredible titles but the field was depleted. This makes Jett's 2024 SMX championship more impressive. 3 months later there are a lot of healthy past champions on the gate.
we should all keep our fingers crossed that the top guys all stay healthy because this show is just starting
I'm doing alright. We're 3 races in and pretty much exactly how I called it. Wins, flashes of brilliance, but also bad nights and totally reasonable excuses that just were never needed in the past. Bad start, laid her down while in the lead...
Can anyone hang with Kenny in 25'?
😂😂 nah brotha how are u doing in here , Jett is not even my #1 guy & im laughing at yal fans shooting the gun to early
You forgot that he gained on the leaders once things settled out. Dude was ripping.
It's so sad that you've been sitting on this thread all week waiting for an opportunity to dog on one of the goats of moto.
That's Beast Mode, lol what a joke. Chokemac self destruction tour!
Your post was at 9:34 one week ago. You jumped on as fast as you could to beat your chest. So don't start crying about it when it comes back around
Crying? You're an NPC lol.
Aww, the name calling. That didnt take much
I was there at A2 tonight. It dumped rain pretty hard right before the 450 main and the top of the soil was greasy. The start straight in particular was all shiny and slick as heck. Tomac’s outside gate position was no longer ideal. He spun out just beyond the gate and was second to last going in to the first turn. If not for the rain it would have been a much better race. Tomac looked unreal in his heat. We didn’t get the main that we deserved imo. Not sure if this was thoroughly covered on the broadcast or not.
Stadium racing is way too polite these days. It was so much better when Reed, Stewart, and RC would park each other to win a race just like all those before them would do. SX was a spectacle.
Well, the rain made the race more compact than what it probably would have been in a dry race.
Yes, Eli fucked up the start but all the other guys were up there and it was a pretty good main.
