We loved the first few episodes but I'm not sure a show has ever jumped the shark quicker than Yellowjackets.

Ended up bailing pretty quick... though, knowing that Elijah Woods is on it makes me curious if it's worth revisiting.

Same. We made it through the first season, started the second and haven't been in a hurry to finish it. 

I don't know how many episodes you've watched, but I thought the show got better as it went on. 

I'm looking to season 3 because of how season 2 ended. 

A tale as old as entertainment time...

The People: "Woah, a show about a group of teenagers trying to survive in the woods where strange shit is going on? We're in."

The Producers: "People love the show! Let's make it feel like it ate itself and shit out a concentrated version of itself where we lean stupid heavy into the interpersonal drama and expand the world into places so far from what the people like they'll have no choice but to love it!"

The People: "Ugh, what the fuck is this? We thought the show was about a group of teenagers trying to survive in the woods where strange shit is going on? We're out."

My wife made it further than I did.

I think it's an amazing concept, and the first half of the first season I was 100% in, but it just got sooooo drama heavy vs adventure heavy (which attracted me to the show in the first place) that I had to pull the plug. I'm sure the show hits perfectly for the people who like that stuff but I struggle really bad when it comes to endless drama storylines.

The same thing happened to me with Game of Thrones. The battles = Epic. The endless "they fucked ______ who is ______'s cousin who killed _____'s uncle 15 years ago turned out to be ________ who double crossed _______" wears my idiot brain down so quick and my wife gets super over trying to re-explain it to me.

I suppose that's why I like watching moto so much. It's action forward and the drama is super easy to follow, "that dude whooooped that dude all last year and the guy that got whooped is sick of it".

I have a thing for Sophie Nélisse, younger "Shauna". I don't know why, but man I just do.

I've never watched Game of Thrones or the new spinoff. Things like that never appealed to me, not even in gaming. 

I watched the ‘new’ Kevin Costner western that he made instead of going back to Yellowstone. I knew it didn’t do well at the box office, but it actually was a pretty decent movie after all. Not the absolute best I’ve ever seen, but also far from the worst.  I’m looking forward to the next installment. 

Watched the first episode of American Primeval and it was a bit disappointing, but a lot of reviews say that it builds up to be better so I’ll keep watching. Supposed to be some of the goriest old west stuff ever, I guess we’ll see how that plays out!

Oy, so damn cute.

The Game of Thrones battles are amazing... everything else is boring as fuuuuck (to me).

And don't get me started on the whole "winter is coming" shit. It took something like 9 years for winter to come and when it did it lasted a fuuuuucking week.

Apple TV has been killing it.  Especially enjoying Slow Horses. 

I watched Costners without any knowledge of it beforehand and enjoyed it, other than the last 15 minutes seemed like they ran out of time/budget and had to finish it. was glad to find out there will be sequels and it was designed to be incomplete

Just seeing the word "Sopranos" makes me wanna start it all over again.

One of the few shows I wish I could have seen when it was on TV just to experience the energy of having to wait a week for the next piece of the story. I'm glad some of the shows lately have been going back to that format.

Just found out the John Wick movie is awesome! Guess I’d seen bits and pieces on TV and probably didn’t know. Been watching the collection. First 2 movies have been pretty good. I realize this franchise is a bit old….

We watched American Primeval this weekend. It’s pretty good.  There are a lot of similarities to The Revenant. 

Started watching "The Night Agent". very good and takes a lot of turns.

We just finished watching the final Yellowstone, just curious if the Travis character that Taylor Sheridan plays in Yellowstone is anything like him in real life? Or is that a complete opposite of how he is in real life?

I think it's how he sees himself for sure.  Dude writes himself into everything as pretty much the same character. 

I watched "A Different Man" this weekend and thought it was pretty unique. It kinda mined a similar vein as "The Substance," but with the genders and storyline reversed (and had some very funny scenes).

Taylor works his ass off and dedicates everything he has to his craft and he expects those around him to share that work ethic and dedication or they won't be kept around. My interactions with him have always been fine, but that also doesn't mean I don't get my ass ripped once in a while either. 🤷

Funny story, my name is Travis and the first time we met he said "great fucking name" then left. 🤣

EDIT: To answer your question, there are definitely some similarities in "Travis" and TS.
