is running any nationals this year?Southwick?Millville this weekend?He got 4th last year in a ride of epic proportions at Southwick.Love to see him come in and do some damage to the feild.

Actually I think John might have got that record last year at Southwick but I'm not sure.

He will be at Southwick again this year on a Kawasaki

He came riding with us at my buddies track a couple weeks ago and he told me he is only riding the Southwick National,no Unadilla for him this year.

john holds a couple oldest records....won southwick 1998 125...oldest to win a SX campionship.125.1998...oldest to win a national moto.mt.morris,2000...oldest to podium,southwick 2005..and i suppose he broke his own record in 2009 with another podium...

I'm also excited to see Robbie Marshall ride Southwick after he almost podiumed that moto last year. I've been a fan ever since.

I love seeing locals like Dowd and him being able to show how well they know the place.

I feel the same way. For decades there have always been local privateers like Marshall coming out of nowhere and smoking factory riders at Southwick. You never see local privateers just appear out of nowhere and have top 5's or podium rides as much as it happens at Southwick. I also love/loved seeing Henry and now Dowd come out of retirement for Southwick every year and guys like Larouso (sp?) and Marshall killing factory riders will always be awesome to watch. It's always made Southwick a special race.

When Guy Cooper came out of retirement to run the nats in 2002 on that ktm 540 he just turned 40 that february and wanted to be the 1st 40+ guy to do it.............So Dowd blew that record away last year at 44 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
