The yeling announcer is what they seem to be going to the last few years; CFB is becoming unbearable. Seems like they're trying to emulate the Spanish speaking soccer announcers - not a fan... by a longshot.
That segment with MC and Brayton and AC bench racing was probably the best thing Race Day Live has ever broadcast.

One of the main problems is they use RDL as practice for their stupid media bits they do during the night show
So instead of treating qualifying like F1 or MotoGP where all the focus is on what's happening on track and who is setting a fast time, they treat it like a background for their production practice:
Oh we've got a bit about Jorge Prado? Let's practice it now for the night show and watch him cruise around the track. Same thing happened with the AP interview.
But hell, we followed Freddie Noren around for an entire lap for no reason at all so maybe they just DGAF

I'd like to see RDL evolve. We don't even have to have the cameras follow the rider setting the fastest time. But I'd like to see JB and AC keep an eye on the timing and comment on it as it's happening, not be surprised by it at the end.
There was a great back and forth there in 450 Qualifying #1 between Jett, Sexton, and Tomac but it was completely missed. Comes across as clueless, which is the opposite of reality with these guys.
There's more than enough time for the interviews and puff pieces.
