There's absolutely nothing wrong with Jett or any other guy who could win starting at A1 saying their goal is a perfect season. Why? Because that actually is the goal for all of them.
Reporter: "__________ is your goal to win A1?"
Racer: "Of course, we are here to win and that's the goal."
-"What about round two, think you'll be happy to just go ahead and settle for less then?"
-"What? Why wouldn't I try to win that too?"
-"Well It sounds to me like you're shooting for a perfect season if we keep this pattern going..."
And so on and so forth and what have you
JFK once had a goal of landing men on the moon. Aim high
There's no material difference in having a goal of winning whatever the next race is and having the goal of a perfect season.

The thing with the perfect season in sx is that no one has done it for a reason, too many variables in sx.
Of course! But it's still the goal. And if you lose A1, the goal is to win ALL of the rest of the races, always.
Would love to see it. Maybe in a couple years when most of the elite guys are retired he could have a shot. But it's next to impossible. Tip over outdoors and you can still win. Can't do that in SX.
All it is takes is one little bobble to lose it in sx...
Thanks for the insight Captain Obvious
Like Larocco smashing you hard enough to send a sedan off the interstate . I can’t believe Mc Grath stayed up on 2 wheels . McGrath recovered quickly and charged after Emig and was right there at the finish. But needed 1 more corner to clip Emig . MC totally out rode Emig in that one. Ever see Larocco ride ? Super strong on the bike I would say twice as strong as ELI easily and he’s Very strong on the bike. I hv a vhs tape of the Rock in 96 hitting turn 1 at red Bud in 4th clutch it wo and carve the inside sharp . Then hold it wo to the next rt all the way to the ski jump. That was a strong move.
So… the goal of racing is to win?
Now I know why my factory Honda contract never came in the mail.
And 21,51 and Freese using fighter jet lock in audible lazer technology. For take it moves . The stupid single they added b4 the corner just launch it. Lazer lock onto the target & boom perfect season is done. There probably practicing it now on a video game to perfect it. 500 to 1,500 per position would help pay for catering , a band , for the party after the race. Lol
Some would say that there’s to many variables for a 450 rookie to do a perfect outdoors season to.
The goal should be realistic. He’s aiming for a goal that not one man has accomplished.
What makes it unrealistic?
Wasn’t it 2 years ago Eli crashed in the main and came back to win it?
Pit Row
"Ever see Larocco ride?" Was he any good? I'm guessing his parents named him after that famous jump at Red Bud
If Haiden said that, this page would explode.
Jeremy almost did it, and realisticly Jett is the only current rider in the 450s that could pull it off, but it would be near impossible imo.
Good to have goals, but this field is stacked this year and it’s only Jett’s second season with the big boys in supercross, and they’re all healthy….maybe someday
Yeah I guess nothing is impossible. I don't remember the race but I assume he crashed later in the race.
Much harder to do when you crash on the start or in the first laps. Kenny had like 3 or 4 start crashes last season and maybe one of those was his fault. Let's just say you need a whole lot more luck for a perfect SX season than you do outdoors
He had a perfect rookie 450 season outdoors. Up until that point, not one man had done that either.
I think it's unlikely that he will, but as a goal it's not crazy.
Because no man has every done it before, it should never be attempted...
Perfectly acceptable to have that goal. To put it out in the public domain, is not a good decision…. Shows a lack of humility and puts a hint of contempt in the other riders minds, which could have consequences. Just my opinion.
Yes, because he's not yet in a position to say something like that. It's not because people are against Haiden. As things stand, Jett Lawrence has achieved far more than Haiden Deegan in the sport. This is simply a fact. Therefore, while Jett talking about perfect seasons is very bold, it's not as far fetched.
It would? He's in regional sx. Not crazy to think he could go undefeated this year. You act like this forum is a Jett fan page. He's got plenty of people that don't like him on here, same as Deegz.
It doesn't matter if it's realistic or if it's ever happened before.
The question is, which race(s) do you suppose they should write off? If your goal is to win every race, then your goal is a perfect season.
It's a goal. It's fine. If it doesn't happen, that doesn't mean it shouldn't have been the goal.
Apparently that goal is not okay if you say it out loud.
