Ah yes. Because Donut Inc.. I guess you have never heard of the O’ Show. I doubt if they invented anything.
To be fair, Deegan came into last year off a freshly broken wrist. By the time SMX came around, he was riding fantastic on basically full SX tracks. At the Texas SMX round, Haiden ran the fastest lap time of the event, a full half second quicker than any 450 rider. The Star YZ250F is mostly unchanged for 2025, he has Craig back in his corner, I just think Haiden is looking prime to have a breakout SX season. Instead of suggesting Haiden isn't that great at SX yet, you should be asking yourself how long of a race win streak he will go on... and I'm no huge Deegan superfan, but you have to give the kid his credit.
Plus he has room to improve still and that is scary...
I seem to remember Jett crashing a lot in his 250 SX career, especially the first full year. Deegan will put it together this year.
I think we can all agree I don't like Forkner..

He didn't crash a lot, but he crashed hard when he did, hit his head pretty good more than once during his first two seasons. But he also was blazing fast. Don't forget though, Jett started riding SX for the first time in 2019 and went pro 2 months after and pretty much had winning speed since then. The speed he had for the amount of time he spend on a SX track was absurd, people don't even realise. He was probably faster than he could handle in his first two SX seasons.
Deegan on the other hand had some years on SX tracks already, also riding with other Star Racing Pro's. But I feel like the failure he had in SX futures humbled him a bit. He really took his first year with the finish every race approach. In fact he hasn't missed a single SX race in his first two years and only crashed once if I remember correctly (not counting the first corner stuff). But he did have some problems with speed and got stuck behind riders when he didn't get a great jump on the start this year (compared to outdoors where he just blew by everyone no matter where he started).
I struggle to see how anyone can beat him next year if he pairs his consistency with the speed he gained this year. He won't be the main guy I'll be rooting for, but it's really hard to deny his talent and the work he put in and the ability to absolutely send it compared to anyone else in the 250 class right now.
Forkner to me is interesting. It just doesn't make any sense how someone can come back every year from the worst injuries without any races under his belt and get to winning speed immediately. This year though.. brain surgery and a new bike? I think this could be different from the previous years. I just hope he finishes a season finally. I don't want to see him on the ground again and I think Deegan, Kitchen and Vialle will all make the next step and seperate themselves from the rest of the pack.
Sorry for writing a roman, just some thoughts in my head lol.
Nobody on Vital liked him until he posted a video crying on instagram, then they all forgot all the things he had said and done leading up to that…
Did I hear Deegs is talking about not moving up to 450SX until 27? Guess he is hoping Jett will be over it by then - lame…
Yes, he is planning on defending his SX title.
Has Forkner ever completed a series? The odds are against Forkner.
A series? Yes. A whole season including outdoors? I think once. The last 3 years have been specially rough though. As I said, it's insane that he has the ability to come back from everything and compete for wins instantly, but his goal now should be to finish a season.
Oh boy let’s be the baddest 250 rider 2 yrs in a row - lame bring on the real battle 😎
Doesn't he have to win 1 before he can defend? So many things can happen in this sport.
One has to win a championship before being able to defend a championship.
One step at a time.
He is like Brian. Always thinking 2 steps ahead.
Either way, Deegan said it himself that he doesn't plan on moving up until he wins a Supercross title.
He also said he was staying down to defend it next year.
That could change when Monster Kawi offers him 20mil a year to go 450 full time in ‘26
Pit Row
Our sport isn't that big for 20 million a year. No chance.
To have Forkner show up on a new bike and wax Deegan straight up at the opening round would be absolutely fucking priceless.
Taking Jett’s route, 4 years 250SX, 3 years 250MX. If he does that then 250SX and 450MX for 2026.
Fair - someone wake me up when he lines up with Jett
A regional supercross title.
If PMG goes tits up - ride scarcity is gonna dry up the well
They seemed so much more meaningful when the Hunter Bros. where winning them…
Because Forkner will not be in th same area code as Deegan at the end of the series
That's nothing to do with it. I was simply pointing out the OP should say regional SX title. The supercross title means the 450 title.
Agreed! I think people discount the fact that Tom Vialle got an SX title in less time than Deegan.
