When I was at Alta, we did a study about all the rotating mass of a 450 engine. It equals 90lbs of "feel". And when do you "feel" most of that rotation? Its mostly when you corner and lean the bike. When you ride an eMoto bike you have zero rotating mass. That's why an Alta or now a Stark corner so well.
BTW, Alta's were also around 265lbs.
I have done 100's of Alta demo's and when riders would ask me how much does it weigh, I would tell them to ride it then let me know what size bike weight it feels like. Some said 125, but most said 250.
Where you feel the weight is when you put it on a stand or have to pick it up off the ground.
I rode the Stark and thought it was an awesome bike and yes it felt like a 250 when riding it! It was so much fun! You could steer the bike with your hips and swing the bike anywhere you want!
Putting it on the stand or even picking it up for me as not so fun! I'm 5' 7" and 140 #'s. Even with a lfit stand it took everything I had to lift the bike up! I've got my $$ on a Dust😅
It may feel like a 250 when things are going right. When things so south, they are still 265+. Swapping weight is swapping weight

That's interesting about the 90lbs of "feel" with the rotating 450 mass. I want a 450 in the worst way but I just can't get over that feeling, which is what keeps me from getting another. I'm excited to try a Stark just to see how a "heavy" bike can feel light, without that inertia sensation.
Except when on brakes, sucker won't slow down!
I use the lever at work regularly. Great tool but when you get to a certain point, the weigh you are levering can get all but uncontrollable and continue in another direction. I have a DIY electric that is fun to ride and turns amazing. Slowing it down and adjusting for the additional weight in valving and springs create unique situations.
